dependency of individuals on private vehicles for commuting,
shopping and leisure purposes may also significantly decrease traffic
congestion, which in turn will lead to long-term emissions benefits.
Fewer personal transport equates to lower CO2 levels in the
atmosphere. Many major cities in the world such as Paris - France,
Tokyo - Japan, or most recently, Bangkok - Thailand have succeeded
in banning motorbikes to scale down traffic jams. By that, these cities
have built a less polluting environment, compared with many cities in
the world.
4. These activities provide exposure to different people which may
encourage diversity, growth, and acceptance among peers through
shared experiences. Out-of-school activities may also provide
exposure to other languages and cultures which broaden the horizons
of those involved.
