Transition to Kindergarten Toolk

Social Media Calendar


Introduction
This social media calendar is part of the Florida Department of Education's Office of Early Le
Districts, schools and educational centers can use these sample posts to provide families wit
in their child's transition to kindergarten. In addition to suggested sample posts, this toolkit inc
effective social media engagement strategy. Feel free to revise, edit and repurpose the mess
organization’s needs.

Calendar Overview
This calendar targets the important transition period from preschool to kindergarten (specifica
November). Large-scale research studies have shown that preparing children for kindergarte
emotional and academic success. Each month in the calendar includes 4-6 posts targeting ke

Before implementing this social media strategy, consider this basic set of best practices to eff

When posting, the key is to maintain a consistent presence, publishing content at least twice
impact on social media. Content should be short, no more than two to three sentences, to en
