A. TUJUAN PEMBELAJARAN
Adapun tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dicapai sebagai berikut :
1.1 Mahasiswa mampu memahami ungkapan suggestion and advice
1.2 Mahasiswa mampu menunjukan ungkapan suggestion and advice dalam
sebuah kalimat tertulis
1.3 Mahasiswa mampu menggunakan ungkapan suggestion and advice
sederhana secara lisan.
B. URAIAN MATERI

Suggestion
Suggestion are ideas for someone else to think about.

 How about + verb (ing)
 What about + verb ( ing)
Example:
1.You should study harder if you want to get success
2.You ought to stay at home because you look pale.
3.You must go to a doctor now.
4.You had better take an English course.
5.Why don’t you call the lecturer for confirmation.
6.Let’s go to the beach for holiday next week.
7.What about watching TV tonight.
8. How about going to the mountain for the holiday

Advice
Advice is stronger and means telling someone what you think they should do.
 You should + verb 1
 You ought to...
 You could...
 You had better …
 Why don’t you…
 if I were you I would…
 I think you should…
Example:
 You must take care of yourself carefully!
 You ought to write a letter to me not to her.
 You should study hard.
 If I were you I would call her now
 I think you should call her now
