 Kerbstone compliance statement

1. The kerbs,channels and edgings shall be
hydraulically pressed complying with BS
EN 1340 2003
2. Dimensions and shape of the
kerbs,channels and edgings shall be as
per BS EN 1340:2003
3. Maximum dimensional deviations of
kerd,channels and edgings measuring
length, width and height ±3mm
4. Transverse strength requirements shall be
assessed in accordance with
QCS2014,Section6,Part11,Table11.1A
5. 28 days compressive strength of the
concrete shall be not less than 30N/mm2
and 7 days strength not less than 75% of
the 30N/mm2
6. Water absorption requirements shall be
assessed in accordance QCS2014,
Section6,part11,Table11.1B
7. Kerbstone shall be prepared with a
concrete mixture containing not less than
400Kg/m3 of sulphate resisting Portland
cement
8. The aggregates used in making the
kerbstone shall be gabbros and they shall
comply with QCS2014 Section 5
9. The water used in the manufacturing of
the kerbstone shall be of drinking quality
or shall be in conformance with Section 5
of the QCS 2014
