CONTENT
In mechanical structure, the system contains two parts. The standing post part is
the support structure of the system in which there are driving device, ascent and
decent device and balancing device. The ascent and decent movement of the
standing post is driven by slow speed synchromotor through retarder.

Part Four: Maintenance Procedure
1. Under the condition that the safety can be guaranteed, analyze and judge
the position and cause of the fault based on the fault phenomena.
2. After having shut down the unit, go over the electrical circuit of the
suspected part to find whether there is any abnormal status or determine
the component parts suspected with measuring equipment such as
universal meter.
3. Find the cause of the fault, replace any damaged component part and test
the system again.
4. After having turned on the unit, regulate the equipment working status
carefully and restore the original parameters.
Common faults of the motor system: noise from moving parts, blocked moving
parts, out of control of moving parts etc.
1. Noise from moving parts: Noise from moving parts can come from
various sources, such as cabinet resonance due to the loose of the screws
on the cover board of the cabinet, short of lubricant of moving parts, the
loose of rolling bearing, unparallel moving guide rail, etc.
3. Out of control of moving parts: Except for the electronic circuit disorder
of the dynamo controller, the most possible cause is the damage of the
stopper, which makes the controller no serviceable and the unit unable to
shut down as required.

Part Two: Structural Fault
For small knocking and scratching, take some same color molding powder,
blend the powder with acetone, apply the mixture evenly on the impaired
surface and polish the surface with soft cloth when dried. For large damage, the
damaged parts must be dismounted and remolded.
The maintenance to the electrical apparatus of the unit must be done under the
prerequisite of guaranteeing personal safety. Special attention must be paid not
only to prevent electrical shock but to prevent radiation injury as well.
Common faults of high frequency high pressure generator include: strike fire,
linearity deflection of parameters, too short time of exposal, failing to provide
high pressure, etc.
1. Fault diagnosis: If the X-ray photograph is block sheet after the exposal
and development or there is obvious parameter abnormality after the
exposal using normal exposal parameters, high frequency high pressure
generator fault can be determined. Generally speaking, the repair of high
frequency high pressure generator fault should be done by the
manufacturer and special attention must be paid.
The main causes of high pressure strike fire include: improper ground wire

connection, dust accumulated on high pressure pack, sealing material aging and
chopped, power device breakdown etc.
Maintenance method: Connect the ground wire properly, clean the dust on the
high pressure pack, seal the breakage with high insulating silicon rubber or
replace any damaged power device.
Phenomenon: Penetrating power is still not enough when high voltage and
strong current are used for the exposal. The phenomenon often occurs in the
units that have been used for more than 5 years, with high exposal frequency in
routine use.
Main cause: X-ray tube aging or device aging in the compensation circuit.
Main cause: The action of the protective circuit of high frequency high pressure
generator stops working of the generator. There are various protective functions
such as high pressure voltage upper limit, high pressure current upper limit,
power upper limit, filament voltage upper limit, earth detection, temperature
upper limit etc. It is usually caused by protective point drift due to vibration or
device aging. For example, the central contact point of the potentiometer is not
properly connected and so on.

Main cause: X-ray tube damage, filament channel fault, short circuit due to the
high pressure pack breakage, power device damage etc. The possibility of X-ray
tube damage is low but it increases when target fusion or air leakage occurs.
That will reduce the insulation in the tube and make the high pressure generator
stop working. Filament channel fault induces the action of filament high
pressure linkage circuit and make the high pressure stop playing a role without
filament. Internal breakage short circuit of the high pressure pack induces power
protective action to stop high pressure output. Power device damage is often
companied by the blowing out of the fuse of the equipment.
Main cause: disconnection of control signal line or control line interface circuit
damage caused by strike fire.
Maintenance method: carefully measure and check the signal line status and
connect the disconnected line. If it is caused by the interface terminal oxidation,
replace the interface terminal. Replace any damaged device if the interface
circuit is damaged. Connect ground wire properly to prevent the occurrence of
strike fire.

Part Three: Dynamo Controller Fault
Main cause: The solid state relay that controls the movement of the dynamo has
been broken down or its protective piezo resistance has been broken.
Main cause: blowing out of the fuse on dynamo control panel with short circuit
or blocked dynamo blocked.
Main cause: The auxiliary source voltage to the dynamo control panel is not
stable.
The LED on high pressure generator can display the working status:

In case of any equipment failure, contact with the manufacturer or the factory
promptly to avoid the deterioration of the fault and impending the use of the
equipment.
