Chapter 12. Introduction to Candy Quantity Takeoff QTO provides fast and accurate measurement from 2D and 3D (with Navisworks) drawings. Bills of Quantities can be created within Candy from QTO or existing Bills of Quantities can be seamlessly updated for Progress or Final quantities. 12.1 QTO Objectives Measure quantities from 2D drawings and 3D BIM models. Create or update a Bill of Quantities within Candy from QTO. Update quantities after drawing revisions, Measure for Bll, Final and Progress quantities. Provide quantities for the BOQ, Valuations, Subcontract Manager and Area bills 12.2 Getting Started There are basic requirements to use QTO: ‘+ Billof Quantities set up in the Candy job. * Basic knowledge of Candy. + Understand the principles of measurement. 12.3 Creating a Bill of Quantities. For QTO to transfer quantities into Candy, Candy would require an accurately structured Bill of Quantities.
