Educational Books
‘Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race’ -
Written by Reni Eddo-Lodge, a Nigerian female journalist and
author based in Britain. Explores things such as: Black History in
Britain, white privilege, feminism and intersectionality and how
race and class are intertwined. Brilliant read and insight into how
POC are treated and viewed in Britain.

‘Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias In A World Designed for

Men’ - Written by Caroline Criado Perez, an Argentinian-English
female author and activist based in Britain. Explores things
such as: the inequality faced by women in different countries
and what happens when half the population aren’t accounted
for.

‘Women, Race and Class’ - Written by Angela Davis, an

African-American female political activist, philosopher, academic
and author based in California. Explores things such as:
intersection of feminism and the feminism movement,
consequences of slavery and opression and classism.

‘So You Want To Talk About Race’ - Written by Ijeoma Oluo, a

Nigerian female writer based in the USA. Explores things such
as: police brutality, microaggressions, the Black Lives Matter
movement and intersectionality.

‘Black On Both Sides: A Racial History Of Trans Identity’ -

Written by C. Riley Snorton, a Black male transgender scholar
and author. Explores things such as: intersections between
blackness and transness, as well as historical figures forgotten.
The titles above are some brilliant must-reads by POC people that haven’t
gotten the recognition they deserve, however these don’t involve every
single type of people so more titles include:
