What i have I Learned today

It is important because its study helps us to gain knowledge of the society we live in. Generally, Social
Science focus on the relationships among individuals in society. It is the mixture of many subjects like
History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Social Psychology and many more.

What personal notes, experiences I recall?

Anthropology is nothing less than the study of what it means to be human, through the understanding
of modern cultures across the globe, the cultures of the past, languages, the human body, and our
evolutionary history.

ECONOMICS

A Morris economics major is a rigorous, broad introduction to the theories and empirical tools of the
field. Economics addresses the economic environment as a social science.

Economists are interested in applications, but in the context that a central task is to explain economic
relationships, institutions, and events with some generality.

MANAGEMENT

A distinctive feature of the Morris management major is that it includes a foundation in the social
sciences and also focuses on an applied area within the topics of interest to future managers.

Management focuses on a particular part of the economic environment, the issues arising in the
operation of business and non profit organizations in the economy, and has a more applied orientation
than does economics.

History introduces students to the human past and the need to approach decision-making with a clear
awareness of a broad range of choices. Through courses exploring various cultures, periods, and human
experiences, students come to understand the construction of historical knowledge, the nature of
historical sources, and the process of historical inquiry.

Politics is power. Congress, the presidency, world nations, the courts, local governments, interest
groups, academics, the media, and citizens all engage in a multifaceted struggle over policies and the
exercise of power that affects each one of us every day. Political science studies those entities and
relationships, the forces they apply to shaping society, and how the results of this grand debate impacts
our lives.

The psychology curriculum focuses on understanding scientific methods and applying them to both

human and non-human behaviors and mental processes. It provides students with methodological skills,
practice in applying these skills, and an introduction to core areas of psychology. The major provides a
comprehensive selection of courses that fully prepare students for a wide range of careers and graduate
and professional studies.

Sociology is the study of the human experience in all its richness and complexity. Personal interactions
and relationships; individual behavior; and the characteristics of groups are among the many topics that
sociologists examine.

WHAT TWO PERSONAL APPLICATION I NEED TO DO, TO APPLY MUST I DO.

Disciplines and Ideas in the Applied Social Sciences introduces students by applying theories and
principles from psychology, sociology, anthropology, and other social sciences to the fields and ideas
that constitute the social sciences. The scope of applied social science focuses on social science,
psychology, social work, and communication, both of which are interconnected. It aims to empower
students in developing competencies in communicating and relating with other people, organizations,
and communities; integrating social science concepts, methods, and tools in resolving many relevant
growth areas; and honing analytical skills unique to the systems and life environments in which these
applicable disciplines are at work.
