Please indicate the position you are applying for Senior Field Assistant
Please answer the following questions.
1. How have your achievements and operational experience to date prepared you for this position?
Please refer to the job description and to the essential requirements therein. (1500 characters max)
Having completed graduation and post-graduation with Political Science from one of the renowned universities in Bangladesh, I
was firstly involved in teaching Political Science as a Lecturer in a college in Cox's Bazar. Later on, I started working with
humanitarian organizations serving mostly the Rohingya refugees. And it's been one year I have had the opportunity to assist
refugees in many ways with my involvement with two leading humanitarian agencies-HEKS/EPER and Dhaka Ahsania
Mission. My current position of Project Assistant with HEKS/EPER provides me with the good opportunity of listening to
concerns/protection issues of Rohingya refugees and to bring these issues to relevant authorities including the CICs for the
readdress/solution. Due to the nature of my job, I need to regular attend Protection Coordination Meeting and to have contact
with Protection Focal Point to discuss concern raised by the community. Reporting camp situation mostly protection related
issues to my management and 4W reporting to ISCG are two of the most important parts of my job. Regular advocacy and
liaison with CICs and RRRC for different reasons has made me capable in dealing with government authorities in a decent
way. Thanks to working with CwC team, I have good knowledge about overall protection environment in the camp. Given all of
my working experience with the Rohingya community, I might be considered as one of the best candidates for the position of
Senior Protection Assistant

2. Please describe any skills and competencies you have, and which may be of particular relevance to this position.
(1500 characters max)
The greatest competencies I belong to is the quality of proximity to and being accepted by the people; I can easily engage
myself to the population or any agency through my polite, dignified and friendly approach. I am good at liaison and
coordination that I have already proved throughout my career journey. My English is pretty good and thanks to working as
frontline staff, I have been skilled enough in terms of translating, reporting and providing training. I have good communication
skills; in my current and former employment I have had decent interaction with all sectors concerned to get things done to the
entire satisfaction of the management. More to that, another noteworthy skill I have is the ability of listening to the people with
patience in order to understand their plight and need. I am a good team player and can take quick decision in any situation. I
am good at leadership and can take lead where necessary. Thanks to being born in Teknaf, I understand and speak Rohingya
language.

3. How does this position align with your career aspirations? (1000 characters max)
I had long been desiring to work with UNHCR, my dream destination! While studying Political Science, I firstly became familiar
with International Organization mostly the UNHCR; since then I have intended to work with this organization in such a position
where I can give my best efforts and can utilize my skills and experience for the betterment of the population. The position,
Senior Field Assistant, is such a position that completely meets my desire academic study is very relevant to that position too. I
studied many courses reparably Introduction to Western Politics, Public Policy in Bangladesh, International Relations,
Introduction to International Politics, Government & Politics in Bangladesh, & Research Methodology etc. This is such a
