INFORMACIJE O RAZINI KVALIFIKACIJE
3.1 Level of qualification:/Razina kvalifikacije:
Bachelor degree – undergraduate study of mechanical engineering/Prvostupnik – preddiplomski studij
strojarstva
Study of mechanical engineering is organized in two cycles: undergraduate and graduate studies. The
undergraduate course of mechanical engineering lasts for seven semesters, and students do their final exam in
the last semester. Graduate course lasts for one and a half year (three semesters), and students do their
master's thesis in the last year.
godini student radi magistarski rad.
3.2 Official length of programme:/Dužina trajanja studija:
Three and half years (seven semester) total 180 ECTS./
3 godine (6 semestara) ukupno 180 ECTS bodova.
3.3 Access requirements:/Potrebni uvjeti za upis:

4.1 Mode of study:/Načini studiranja:
Full time/Redovito
4.2 Programme requirements:/Sustav i pravila studiranja:
All students at undergraduate faculty of mechanical engineering are full-time students. The students are required to attend
the classes regularly (lectures, workshops, practical work) and to pass all exams planned by curriculum, and to defend
their final thesis. During studies, the students do professional practical work where they practically learn about the issues
related to their study.
Studenti pohađaju preddiplomski studij strojarstva kao redoviti studenti. Studenti su obavezni redovito pohađati nastavu
(predavanja, vježbe, praksu) i položiti sve ispite predviđene nastavnim planom i programom studija, te obraniti završni
rad.
4.3 Objectives/Ciljevi studija
The goal of mechanical engineering studies is to enable students for highly professional work in engineering, including
ability to communicate in one of the world-known languages within their profession, and to lead and manage production
and companies. Those students are also prepared for further education in profession and science, and they can also enrol
university graduate studies to become master or doctor in technical science.
Undergraduate studies of mechanical engineering offer students knowledge in basic science and technical science
(mathematics, physics, mechanics, electrical engineering, material technology), and students learn basics in applied
technical knowledge (machine elements, manufacturing technologies, construction design, mechatronics, robotics).
During studies students also learn informatics, from the basics of using and programming, to computer simulations,
artificial intelligence, neural network and virtual design and especially computer application in mechanical engineering
(CAD, CAM, CAE, CIM, mechatronic systems and robotization). Through social courses students develop ability of
communication in English and the also learn economics, organization and production management and management. By
the choice of teaching content, adjusted to a particular course, profiling for the future activity of a professional in the field
of mechanical engineering can be achieved.

8. INFORMATION ON THE NATIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM/

INFORMACIJE O NACIONALNOM VISOKOOBRAZOVNOM SUSTAVU

Higher education frame of qualifications in BiH consists of three cycles, which reflect and develop so called ‘’Dublin
descriptors’’, accepted by ministers of education within Bologna process, after the decision on accepting higher education
system, which is based on three cycles, had been made.
Dublin descriptors are generic (that is, unrelated to the subjects) statements which express typical expectations of success and
abilities related to qualifications when a Bologna cycle is finished. They consist of the following elements: knowledge and
understanding, application of knowledge and understanding, generic cognitive skills, making judgments, communication
abilities and learning skills, autonomous responsibility of a student as well as work with others.
BiH descriptors have more details than Dublin ones, and they are intended to be interpreted together. They describe knowledge,
skills and abilities related to typical qualification at the end of one cycle, that is, at the end of undergraduate study, master study
and doctorate study. Descriptors are flexible, not final, and they should be combined with reference sources, including domestic
and international ones, academic or specialist materials for guidance in subjects, that is, materials and statements on basic
indicators in subjects within Tuning project.
At this moment, higher education frame of qualifications in BiH does not have any other level or subdivision within the cycles,
by which progression within the structure would be illustrated. However, the structure itself reflects ECTS range of credits
which is related to Bologna process frame.

elemenata: znanje i razumijevanje, primjena znanja i razumijevanja, generičke kognitivne vještine, donošenje sudova,
Opisuju znanje, vještine i sposobnosti
