Do you know how Alexander became “Alexander

the great?”

Alexander became the king at the very young age of just 20 years when his father passed
away.

Being very ambitious, he stated conquering neighbouring kingdoms.

His next target was now the mighty Persian Empire.

The battle between Alexandre and Darius, the Persian king, took place in 331 BC.
Darius had more than double the number of soldiers in his army, more horses and chariots
too.

How did Alexander win against the overwhelming

Persian army?

Everyone in Alexander’s army including his generals feared about the war against Darius.
Nobody believed that they have any chance of winning against Darius.
Even Alexander knew that it was very hard to win against the Persian army, it was just too
big.

What did Alexander do it then?

He gave just one simple command to all his solders.

Kill Darius.

He gave all his solders very clear target. Now they don’t have to defeat the whole army, they just
have to kill one person.
As soon as the war started, all of Alexander’s army had one very clear focus. They all started to look
for Darius.

Darius soon realised that his life is in danger and he started to run away from the battlefield. Seeing
their commander and king running away, the other generals and soldiers started to run away too.

This way, Alexander won one of the toughest battles with poor weapons and a lesser number of
soldiers.

And, Alexander became “Alexander the Great.”

So,
What can we learn from this?

When your target is big and you can’t do all the things, focus on one important thing.
One single thing that can give you maximum results. Pick one thing that by doing it, all other things
would become either unnecessary or less important.
As Napoleon Hill said, “Focus on the possibilities for success, not on the potential for failure.”

In other words, your focus creates your victory.
