Lab 5. Preplant Soil Treatment (No need to write report, but you need this for the later lab)

Plant cash crop seedlings as shown in the map below.

Treatments
1. CC: plant sweet alyssum seedlings on the border of the entire plot.
2. KNF = Scatter IMO4 on each plot, drench with SOS solution, add compost mulch on top.
3. PP = apply 2.75 lb of shredded PP mulch (=3 tons/acre) over each plot as surface mulch.
4. PGPR treatment = mix 4.5 g of crustacean meal into each planting hole (=1% amendment rate) + drench 50 ml of
vermicompost tea (uncured vermicompost brewed for >24 hours) + 50 ml of ArmourZen (chitinolytic compound)
5. Bare ground (BG)
