SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, SUGGESTIONS AND CONCLUSION

5.1 FINDINGS

5.1.1 PERCENTAGE ANALYSIS

1. Majority (40%) of the respondents belongs to the age group of 21-30 years.
2. Majority (67.5%) of the respondents are male.
3. Majority (40%) of the respondents possess school level education.
4. Majority (46.5%) of the respondents’ family size is 4.
5. Majority (72%) of the respondents are married.
6. Majority (48%) of the respondents have their monthly income between 5001-
15000.
7. Majority (55%) of the respondents are bottom level employees.
8. Majority (46%) of the respondents have 3-5 years of experience.
9. Majority (55%) of the respondents have given their satisfactory level as good.
10. Majority (62.5%) of the respondents are satisfied with the salary.
11. Majority (61.0%) of the respondents are satisfied with the increment.
12. Majority (47.5%) of the respondents are neutral with the promotion.
13. Majority (33.0%) of the respondents are neutral with the settlement of complaints.

5.2 SUGGESTIONS

By analyzing the collect data and assigned findings, the following suggestions and
recommendation are given.

• Major causes of dissatisfaction as perceived by the employees are lack of


promotional opportunities and personal growth, absence of incentive bonus of
recognition for good work. Hence, promotion should be on the basis of merit and
performance.
• Providing recognition by introducing reward system for outstanding
contribution in the company.
• To enhance job satisfaction and to improve overall performance of employees
incentives, bonus and target based reward should be introduced.
• The facilities regarding canteen and restroom are not found to be fully
satisfactory. Hence, necessary and adequate measures have to be taken to
improvise the prevalent facilities.
• The extra measures offered by the company are not found to be satisfactory.
The HRA and TA are not up to the workers expectation. Management should take
effective steps regarding extra measures.
• At present the company provides mainly on the job training programmes of
the employees which are not satisfactory, so the management has to provide
proper training to the employees before and after the placement. Training
programs are helpful to avoid personal obsolescence. It will help to develop their
ability and skills regarding job.
• For improving the level of welfare measure the organisation may introduce
employees welfare schemes such as,
 Medical claim policy
 Post retirement benefits
 Dependents benefits after death of employees.
 Financial loan facilities for house hold equipments, conveyance, wards
education etc.
 Policies regarding personal growth and development.

5.3 CONCLUSION

The study reveals that employees job satisfaction is influenced not only based on

nature of job but also various facilities provided by the company. The managerial staff

and workers are very cordial. The employees are offering their maximum support for the

improvement and uplift of the company. The employees enjoy the various facilities
offered by the study unit. Suitable amenities and benefits are made available to the

employees within the framework of the rules and regulations formulated.

Finally, the management should conduct job satisfaction surveys at least once in

every two years which would enable them to take necessary steps to improve job

satisfaction of their employees.

The management should also provide proper guidance about the technical side of

the respective jobs so as to make the Armstrong Knitting Mills, Tirupur City, a great

success.
