Middle Ground: Holistic Healers vs Medical Professionals

Holistic Healers

1. Cori Reddish — https://www.instagram.com/drcory/

Dr. Cory Reddish has been a practicing licensed Naturopathic Doctor for 20 years. She
runs her own Naturopathic Health Boutique out of Venice, where she offers high quality
supplements and nutritional consultations, as well as her “signature line of party
recovery nutrients,” Dr. Cory’s Party Pax. Dr. Cory advocates for both “embracing fun,”
and allowing your body to recover through natural remedies afterwards — which would
provide a fascinating, unique mindset for Middle Ground.

2. Kristine Ovsepian — https://www.instagram.com/JourneystoHeal/

Kristine Ovsepian is a generalized naturopath in the Los Angeles area, whose

specialities include hypnotherapy, reiki, life coaching, breath work, “energy healing,”
and other modalities. Her wide range of specialties and large Instagram following (11K)
make her an excellent candidate for the video — additionally, she shows genuine
consideration for her clients’ needs. Her Instagram posts often reflect widely on
principles of gratitude and kindness that can help people live happier lives.

3. Clement Lee — https://www.instagram.com/drclementlee/

Dr. Lee is a naturopath working out of the Optimal Health and Wellness Clinic in
Pasadena. Since Lee is connected with the Health clinic, his approach will be slightly
different from his counterparts — focusing less on “coaching,” and more on physical
remedies such as (listed on his website): IV nutritional therapy, injection therapy, join
regeneration, natural weight loss, and more. Lee makes many Instagram posts about
how grateful he feels to make an impact on his clients’ lives — this benevolent energy
would be excellent for Middle Ground.

4. Elliot Anavim — https://www.instagram.com/drelliotanavim/

Elliot is a naturopath associated with Ascend Integrative Medicine in Encino. Similar to
Clement Lee, his specialties include IV therapy, vitamin shots, weight loss, and even
PRP facials (an anti-aging treatment). Clement and Elliot both provide an interesting
contrast to the first 2 women, since they believe in a naturopathic practice that utilizes

exogenous vitamins and minerals to restore the body back to “full potential,” rather
than focusing on the powers of the soul or mind. I found Elliot’s profile through
Facebook naturopath recommendations, and since so many of his patients seem
pleased with the “personable” quality of his care, I believe he would be a great
participant in Middle Ground.

Medical Professionals

1. Dr. Fola May, MD phD— https://www.instagram.com/drfolamay/

Dr. Fola May is a phD-educated gastroenterologist and cancer researcher working out
of UCLA health. Aside from her spectacular qualifications, Dr. May also is a proud
mother — many of her Instagram posts feature her with her husband and two
daughters, who she consistently talks of with adoration and selflessness. Dr. May’s
warm and congenial demeanor would make her an excellent candidate for Middle
Ground.

2. Dr. Scott Fujimoto, DO — https://www.instagram.com/docfuji/

Dr. Fujimoto is an interventional radiologist and student mentor/residency program
director at the Medical University of Southern California. Because Scott is DO-
educated (meaning, he is a doctor of osteopathic medicine), he will provide a slightly
different perspective than those with typical MD backgrounds. Additionally, I believe his
mentorship experience will allow him to speak well in the context of Middle Ground.

3. Dr. Joshua Mansour MD — https://www.instagram.com/doctorjosh_md/

Dr. Mansour is a triple board certified oncologist, affiliated with multiple hospitals in the
area (including educated City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center and Kaiser
Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center). He has been in practice for 3-5 years,
according to the US News Health database, and is a recipient of the “40 under 40
Cancer award.” Through his Instagram profile, Dr. Mansour frequently regards on the
importance of cancer patients receiving proper medical care — this impassioned
perspective would be great for the Middle Ground debate.

4. Dr. Roozehra Khan, DO — https://www.instagram.com/thefemaledoc/

“Dr. K,” as she calls herself, is a DO-educated physician and assistant professor of
clinical medicine at Keck School of Medicine, USC. However, her most stand-out
achievement is the success of her personal website and mentorship program,
“thefemaledoc.com." Dr. K is passionate about empowering young,

“non-traditional” individuals (women of color, immigrants, LGBTQ) to get into med
school and follow their dreams.
