Culminating Project

Now that we have reached the end of the year, you have the opportunity to show us what you have
learned in a creative way. Using the menu below, you will select an “appetizer” (a topic/subject for your
project), an “entree” (a type of project), and a “dessert” (the way in which you would like to present your
project). Creativity is key here; be creative about how you may demonstrate knowledge of these topics
through any one of the project options. You may work individually or in a group of up to four students.

Entree: Pick a project

Each of these projects can be applied to any of the topics listed above. Creatively express what you know and
what you have learned.
Write an alternate ending Song/ Poetry
Use your creative writing skills to imagine an alternate Using your topic of choice as inspiration, create a song
ending to a story. This could include an alternate ending or poem focused on a major theme. Your song or poem
to Animal Farm, this school year, or your life. How might should be long enough to fully tell a story and
your life be different if your identity were different? How communicate a theme to your audience. You may want
might life be different if you had been persuaded to to do a blackout/ erasure poem with an art overlay or
make other choices? write your own “Beasts of England”.

Design a book cover (front, back, and inside)
How would you design a book cover for Animal Farm?
What about the 2020/2021 school year? Design the
front cover, back cover, and inside cover (including at
least one book summary and an “About the Author”
section) that captures the story that would be told.
Public Service Announcement
Public service announcements provide an audience
with information about serious issues, evoke emotions,
and often have a call to action. What do you want to
inform or warn your classmates about? What about the
characters of Animal Farm? What message do you want
to spread? Your PSA should be a video of at least three
minutes with a clear purpose and message.

Series of TikToks Cookbook: Series of Recipes or a Menu

Adapt at least three different TikTok trends/sounds to
the topic you have selected. All TikToks should have a
common subject and creatively and humorously
demonstrate knowledge of one of our topics.
Create a series of recipes in a cookbook or a menu that
creatively capture the spirit of the topic you have
selected. Include dish names, ingredients, descriptions,
and images based on your topic in a well-designed and
organized format.

Create a game Music Playlist

Create a board game OR a physical game (something
that could be played outside!) based on your topic of
choice. Include a set of rules, game design (if a board
game), and an explanation of how this game explores
your topic.
Curate a playlist of at least ten songs based around the
topic you have selected. For each song, write an
explanation of at least three sentences explaining why
the song fits perfectly into your themed playlist.
Dessert: How will you present your project?
Flipgrid- Upload a video to Flipgrid of your project with a spoken explanation of how your project connects
to your topic.
Canvas: Upload a PDF, Google Slides, or Doc version of your project to Canvas with a written explanation.
In Front of Class: If you would like, we will have time on our final day of class to see some class projects.
You/your group may share your project with the class.
