LTG Fiber Compactors

Series FKA / FKC
Technical Documentation
LTG Fiber Compactors FKA / FKC for textile, paper and plastic waste
Method of operation
The airstream carrying the collected material enters at the
top of the housing through the tangential inlet, flows
through the perforated cone and is discharged through the
outlet.
contaminated
The collected material and waste is deposited on the inside air
of the perforated cone.
From there the material is continuously scraped off by the
screw in a downward motion.
The collected material is pressed against a diaphragm at
the bottom outlet opening. This continuous process
clean air
compacts the material and pushes the diaphragm open.
The material is discharged into a suitable container or bag.
This continuous operation of the FKA/FKC prevents
fluctuations in the extraction system.
Application
material
LTG separating and compacting units process fibres,
paper scraps, trim and various shredded plastic wastes.
The solid particles are removed by suction from the
production process, separated from the airstream and
deposited in bags, containers or silos.
The version “H” (FKA-H, FKC-H) was designed especially
for the handling of very light material like edge trim and foil
as well as foamed material.
The FKA and the smaller version, FKC are similarly
designed. The only difference being in the size and
therefore in the capacity.
Advantages
• Separator and compactor in one unit
• Continuous operation
• High material and air throughput capacity.
• Sturdy construction
• Pressure-free discharge
• No fluctuations in the extraction system
• Separation of many different materials possible

The bulk density indicates how voluminous the solid material is. Small bulk densities are characteristic for highly
voluminous materials. With voluminous materials the maximum flow rate is reduced (valid for continuous material supply).
