EAZY BWT-1
Product Code: 1001 Product Group: Water Treatment
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.30 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy BWT-1 is a uniquely blended liquid boiler treatment programme designed to inhibit scale
formation and corrosion within the boiler circuit. The product contains additives to inhibit scale when
hard water breakthrough occurs, inhibit corrosion in the boiler circuit as well as the condensate lines

that can easily be removed by blow down.

The polymeric phosphate dispersants and corrosion inhibitors meet FDA requirements and the product
does not contain hydrazine.

APPLICATION & USE

It is recommended that product be used with good quality feed water and dosed into the feed water
line after the feed water re-circulation off take. This should be done by diluting with distilled water or
condensate and dosed over a 24 hour period.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Dosage:
Initial dosage depends on the prevailing boiler condition and the quality of the feed water. In general
the dosage rate should be 2.5 to 5.0 litres per tonne of water.

Maintenance dosage should be 0.5 to 2.5 litres per day depending on test results.

Testing:
Eazychem boiler water test kits are used to monitor dosage and control parameters. These simplified
tests are listed on the dosage and control charts. It is recommended that regular testing be carried
out to ensure that levels of treatment and control are correct.

EAZY MUDSOLV-C
Product Code: 1121 Product Group: Water Treatment
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.40 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy Mudsolv-C is a concentrated and completely safe ballast water treatment specially formulated to
condition, remove and prevent the build up of silt and mud deposits.

APPLICATION & USE

Product can be effectively used in ballast tanks, cooling water systems and pipe lines and is also an
efficient antiscalant. Benefits of using product can include reducing the environmental risk of
transporting invasive marine species locked into mud deposits, maintaining optimum cargo carrying
capacity and stability, reducing the potential for corrosion and for survey or inspection purposes
avoiding the costly exercise of ‘mucking out’ and disposal.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

In order to obtain optimum results product should be dosed into the filling line of the ballast or cooling
system at predetermined rates prior to the systems being filled in order to ensure product is
thoroughly dispersed. The loose deposits of silt and mud are easily discharged during deballasting.

The normal dosage rate for maintenance purpose is 1 litre per 20 tonnes of ballast water and the
treatment should be repeated each time the ballast tank or cooling system is filled.

In the case of existing accumulations, a dosage rate of 1 litre per 10 tonnes of ballast water is
recommended and should remain in the tank for at least 24 hours. It should be noted that depending
on the degree of mud accumulation it may take several treatments before any significant reduction is
achieved.

For severe mud build up results will be obtained in a shorter period if aided by direct
agitation/mechanical action prior to ballasting. This will allow product to penetrate more easily
following the next ballasting operation.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
EAZY ASH CONTROL
Product Code: 1807 Product Group: Fuel Treatment
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.40 - 22/10/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy ASH Control is a unique blend of combustion catalysts, ash deposit modifiers and corrosion
inhibitors. It has been specially formulated for use in engines, both medium and slow speed, where
the presence of deposits in valves seats and turbocharger blades pose serious problems.

This product has been formulated to solve problems related to combustion as well as those caused by
high vanadium oxides, sulphur and sodium salt contaminants in the fuel.

Product is miscible in fuel, does not react with any other substances and is not affected by fuel
centrifugal separation.

APPLICATION & USE

The benefits of using the product are:

• Prevents high temperature corrosion by increasing the sodium sulphate and vanadium
pentoxide melting points from 675/880ºC respectively to around 1100ºC
• Minimises low temperature acid corrosion and reduces lube oil TBN (alkalinity) caused by the
presence of sulphur (sulphuric acid)
• Improves combustion efficiency and reduces fuel combustion
• Reduces smoking and emissions
• Reduces engine wear
• Improves combustion considerably by reducing carbon deposits
• Promotes lower fuel consumption

Deposit Ash Modifier

Due to the presence of the deposit modifiers, these prevent high and low temperature corrosion in the
high temperature surfaces such as valve seats and stems, thus prolonging the machinery parts life.
This is achieved by raising the melting point of the vanadium compounds, by transforming the
crystalline form of the ash making it light and friable so that it is easily exhausted.

By inhibiting the vanadium so that it cannot act as a catalyst in the oxidation process of SO2 to SO3,
this reduces considerably the sulphuric acid formation and minimises low temperature corrosion.

There have been cases that show use of this product has resulted in appreciable reductions of sulphur
trioxide by more than 70%.

Combustion Improver
The oil soluble organo-metallics that are present in the product, apart from enlarging the combustion
area and being effective in a better fuel-oxygen mixing, achieve a rapid oxidation of carbon in the fuel
thus improving combustion.

The combustion improver, together with the deposit modifier provides a synergistic effect and
prevents the buildup of deposits.

Furthermore, the ignition energy required to complete the combustion is dropped and so less carbon
deposits are formed.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Methods
Product can be introduced manually into the fuel tanks prior to or during bunkering. The fuel
movement on entering the tank will blend the product with the fuel.

It is preferable to introduce product by the use of a metering pump into the fuel line prior to the
suction of the low pressure feed pump in order to achieve optimum mixing and ensure that product is
fed continuously into the fuel. Depending on the engine design the dosing location may vary.

Dosage
The typical dosage rate for product is in the range of 1:1,000 liters to 1:8,000 liters of fuel. Rates
vary depending on the engine design, operating conditions and contaminant level in the fuel.

The following table shows appropriate dosage rate.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy AutoTreat is a specialist formulation designed to treat fuel systems in vehicles, marine, domestic
and industrial applications including permanent and temporary fuel storage tanks.

Light and medium grade fuels are particularly susceptible to microbiological growth as they provide a
source of food for bacteria. Moisture (water) in the tank provides the perfect condition necessary to
trigger growth through water contamination during storage or transportation, condensation due to the
natural warming and cooling of the tank or from leakage into the bunker tank.

APPLICATION & USE

Product will clean dirty injectors and fuel lines in both diesel and petrol systems. It mixes readily in
seconds giving an instant result.

Benefits include:

• Allows water to be absorbed into the body of the fuel (dispersion)

• Softens and dissolves gum, varnish and wax formed on metal surfaces
• Prevents waxing and fungal/bacterial growth
• Burns off with minimal residue
• Removes source of corrosion

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
EAZY MICROTREAT
Product Code: 1821 Product Group: Fuel Treatment
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.30 - 22/10/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Problem – Bugs in Fuel?
Light and medium grade fuels are particularly susceptible to microbiological growth as they provide a
source of food for bacteria. Additionally, the marine environment provides all the moisture necessary
to trigger growth through water contamination during storage or transportation, condensation due to
the natural warming and cooling of the tank or from leakage into the bunker tank.

Fuel contamination presents several problems for the operator. They include deposits, corrosion,
water emulsification and energy loss. Deposits can occur in tanks, fuels lines, filtration and
purification equipment, fuel heaters, and eventually all the way to the fuel injectors of the engine.

These deposits cause blockages and restrictions which affect the fuel handling and delivery system.
Corrosion caused by the presence of sulfate reducing bacteria can normally be found on tank bottoms.
Sulfate reducing bacteria produce hydrogen sulfide gas and acid conditions which severely corrode
metals in the fuel storage system.

The emulsification of water caused by bacteria and fungi is extremely troublesome. In the form of an
emulsion it cannot be removed by simple filtration or separating equipment and it can cause poor fuel
atomisation and contribute to the breakdown of lubricating oil films. It is therefore essential to
establish an effective program to control microbiological contamination.

The Solution – eazy MicroTreat

This product is a concentrated low toxicity micro biocide fuel treatment developed for use in fuel
storage systems or tanks for effective control of bacteria and fungi. It will kill a variety of different
microbiological contaminants.

APPLICATION & USE

Product is effective in water, oil and at the interface between oil and water. The micro organisms are
killed by exposure to the biocide and product can be used as a preventative measure or to give an
immediate effective cure for contaminated systems. Product prevents corrosion and blockages.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Sterilisation of Lube Oil Systems:
After severe contamination, all areas should be cleaned manually to remove sludge and silt. On large
engines cleaning with undiluted eazy Degreaser of the casing frame followed by opening and
thoroughly cleaning the sumps is strongly recommended. This should be followed by flushing the
entire lubricating oil system with flushing oil containing this product.

Sterilisation of Fuel Storage Tanks:

If bacteria are suspected, water drawn from the fuel storage tank bottoms should be tested and the
bacteria count established. If this is above 105 / ml, there is a good chance that colonisation has
taken place throughout the fuel. In which case this product should be dosed directly to the fuel tank
prior to bunkering ideally in tanks less than 25% of storage capacity to allow thorough dispersion.

In untreated tanks, a ‘kill dose’ of 1 litre per 2,000 litres of contaminated fuel will be required.

As part of an ongoing maintenance programme, use eazy AutoTreat to disperse any water present
in the tanks thus minimizing the potential for further contamination.

APPLICATION & USE

eazy Soot Remover-L is easily dosed into the system using a suitable injection unit which ejects a fine
powder towards the hottest part of the flame that vaporises on contact with the hot exhaust gas thus
dispersing product throughout the system.

Unlike powder based products which due to larger particle size and greater weight are more difficult
to inject efficiently, the liquid version is more efficient at treating the entire surface area. The
modified soot particles which are dry and non-adherent are friable and can therefore be removed far
more effectively by the soot blowers.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Dosage
Depending on the prevailing conditions at time of treating, 1-2 litres of product is required for every
1000m2 of heating surface area. This amount should be adjusted depending on the on economiser
specification and fuel consumption.

Frequency
Product should be injected once or twice daily before soot blowing.

Equipment Required
Injection Unit.

Location
For the majority of cases the injector is placed into the exhaust system immediately after the
turbocharger gas outlet.

Product Code: 1811 Product Group: Fuel Treatment
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.20 - 22/10/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy Soot Remover-P is a powder based compound of mineral salts, carbon oxidation catalysts and
slag modifiers designed to prevent soot deposits in exhaust gas boilers at low temperature which
decrease thermal efficiency and increase the consequential cold end corrosion in the system.

Correct and regular use of the product can lower running costs associated with regular cleaning and
maintenance in untreated systems and eliminates the need to shutdown the boiler or plant during
dosing.

APPLICATION & USE

eazy Soot Remover-P is easily dosed into the system using a suitable injection unit which ejects a fine
powder towards the hottest part of the flame that vaporises on contact with the hot exhaust gas thus
dispersing product throughout the system.

The modified soot particles which are dry and non-adherent are friable and can therefore be removed
far more effectively by the soot blowers.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Dosage
Depending on the prevailing conditions at time of treating and the amount of fuel being burned an
average 1 to 2kg of product is required for every 25 tonnes of fuel being burned. This amount should
be adjusted depending on the on economiser specification and fuel consumption.

Frequency
Product should be injected once or twice daily immediately after soot blowing.

Equipment Required

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
EAZY ACC
Product Code: 2401 Product Group: Cleaning & Maintenance
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.30 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy ACC air cooler cleaner is a highly active combination of cleaning and corrosion inhibiting
compounds. When sprayed on soiled parts of an air cooler product penetrates and dissolves deposits
of oil and grease. These accumulations can then be removed using compressed air or rinsing with
fresh water.

The product has a low order of toxicity, contains no harmful chlorinated solvents and has a high flash
point.

APPLICATION & USE

Air coolers will, during normal operation, become fouled with oil, grease and other contaminants
present in the air in the engine room. These contaminates are deposited on the cooling surfaces as
the air from the turbochargers passes through the air cooler.

In-service cleaning of diesel engine air coolers can be achieved by injecting an emulsion of product
into the air cooler trunk followed by a clean water rinse. Major engine manufacturers approve this
method.

Product is highly effective in cleaning soiled parts of the air cooler. The parts should be immersed in
undiluted product. The cleaning action penetrates deposits, dissolving oil matter and hydrocarbon
materials and loosens insoluble solids, which can then be removed by rinsing in fresh water or with
the use of compressed air.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Product should be mixed in two parts of water to form an emulsion. When preparing, the correct order
is to add product to the water (not vice versa). The resulting emulsion is non-flammable, non-
explosive and has no flash point.

In-service Cleaning
The emulsion should be injected into the air cooler trunk over a period of 10 minutes. Fresh water
should then be injected to rinse off the emulsified deposits.

Soak Method
This requires the cooler to be removed from the engine and immersed in a bath or tank of cleaning
solution with agitation provide by a compressed air line. After 2 to 4 hours the cooler should be
removed and rinsed with fresh water or blown with compressed air.

Circulation Method
Certain coolers can be cleaned in-situ. This requires a circulation system to be connected and the
emulsion circulated through the cooler. After cleaning the cooler should be drained and flushed with
fresh water.

EAZY SAFE CR
Product Code: 2451 Product Group: Cleaning & Maintenance
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.30 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy Safe CR is a powerful solvent that has been specifically designed to remove carbonized and
baked-on deposits typically found on engine parts, valves and burner tips as well as other
components fouled by carbon, varnishes or resins.

Product does not contain cresylic acid and the non-corrosive properties and high flash point make it

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
EAZY DESCALER
Product Code: 2014 Product Group: Descaling
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.10 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy Descaler is an aggressive liquid descaling acid. It is used for cleaning the surfaces of heat
exchangers and other areas where build up of calcium and magnesium salts (scale) occur and impair
the efficiency of heat exchangers.

The product contains an inhibitor to limit acid attack of the base metal after the cleaning program has
been completed.

APPLICATION & USE

Product can be used for general descaling of heat exchangers, boilers, evaporators, coolers and
condensers.

The degree and type of the deposits will determine the time required for the descaling programme In
general the scale will be removed in 4 to 12 hours.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

For moderate cleaning tasks a solution of 10-20% of product should be made up by adding product to
fresh water (not the reverse) in a plastic container and then circulated through the equipment to be
cleaned.

The process should be repeated as many times as is required for heavily scaled surfaces up to a
maximum time of 24 hours.

After cleaning, the system must be completely emptied and then refilled with fresh water to purge it
of gas before opening the steam drum door. It is then recommended that a 1 to 2% solution of eazy
Neutralise be circulated for 2 to 4 hours to ensure that metal surfaces and any remaining acids are
neutralised or once an acceptable pH level is obtained.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
Prior to carrying out any cleaning programme, sacrificial anodes (if present) should be removed and
the system sufficiently vented to atmosphere at all times. All ventilation arrangements must be
unobstructed throughout the entire cleaning process. As it is extremely likely that potentially
explosive gas will be produced, it is recommended that boiler ventilation terminals are tested for the
presence of hydrogen.

Product must not be used on tin, aluminium, zinc or galvanised metal surfaces.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
EAZY RSR
Product Code: 2031 Product Group: Descaling
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.40 - 02/11/2009

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy RSR rust stain remover is a liquid blend of acids and emulsifiers for removing rust or rust stains
on all iron and steel surfaces. The product also passivates metal surfaces to help prevent flash
rusting and atmospheric corrosion.

In accordance with the requirements of Annex 12 of IMO MEPC.2/Circ.11 (17 Dec 2005), eazy RSR is

APPLICATION & USE

Product is recommended for cleaning all types of ferrous metals and for removing rust or rust stains
from paintwork.

Product is non-flammable and is completely soluble in water.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

General Cleaning
To remove light rust, surfaces to be treated must be free from oil and grease. eazy Degreaser should
be used for this purpose.

Heavy rust deposits or flaking paint should be removed with a wire brush. A solution of product in 4
parts of water should be liberally applied and allowed to penetrate for 15 to 20 minutes. The treated
surface should then be flushed with plenty of fresh water to prevent the product from drying as this
may leave a powdered deposit on the metal surface.

Tank Cleaning
Product can also be used to remove lime scale deposits after a tank cleaning operation when cargo
residue slops are disposable at sea. After completion of the tank cleaning operation, inject 0.5L of
product per 100L of wash water directly into the automatic washing system for 20-30 minutes at a
temperature of 70-80°C.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
EAZY AQUALAC
Product Code: 2471 Product Group: Tank Cleaning
Packaging: 25L & 200L Issue/Date: 1.70 - 01/11/2011

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy AquaLAC is a heavy duty alkaline tank cleaner and degreaser suitable for cleaning cargo tanks
and holds after discharge of drying, semi-drying and non-drying natural oils and fats.

In accordance with MARPOL Annex II Regulation 13.5.2 and MEPC.1/Circ.590, Tank Cleaning Additives
Guidance Note and Reporting Form, eazy Tankwash is approved as a cargo tank cleaning additive.
This regulation applies regardless of whether a product is discharged to shore or sea. For discharge
to shore, Master is required to complete the cargo record book and identify any cleaning additives.

Product also approved as meeting resistance requirements for the Jotun Tankguard range of marine
coatings.

APPLICATION & USE

Suitable for removing deposits including but not limited to: animal oils, fish oils, vegetable oils,
waxes, greases, sludge, carbon deposits, inert gas soot (IGS) deposits as well as deodorising tanks
prior to loading foodstuffs in order to achieve a sufficient standard of cleanliness.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Boilers
When “boiling out”/commissioning of newly re-tubed boilers, pre-acid cleaning or if a boiler is
contaminated with oil a 5-10% solution should be circulated for a maximum of 24hrs at a temperature
of 70-80°C. After draining, rinsed well with plenty of clean fresh water.

Product may also be used for petcoke cleaning by spraying neat product onto the surface and soaking
for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with clean fresh water or for boiler furnace cleaning a 10-50%
solution (depending on severity) in fresh water at a temperature of at least 40°C.

Tanks
Pre-Wash
After cargo has been discharged, pre-wash with adequate clean fresh / seawater heated to 50-60°C.

For drying, semi drying and in order to prevent the evaporation and polymerisation of lighter oils, use
cold water.

General Cleaning
The recommended method is direct injection followed by recirculation using tank cleaning machines.

Other methods such as hand spraying are also feasible although not as efficient.

Product is used in a solution of clean fresh / seawater which is heated in accordance to the cargo
supplier’s guidelines. Typically for palm oil this is at 55-65°C, and in the case of cargo containing
stearic acid, 72-77°C.

NB. Certain types of oils require lower cleaning temperatures due to polymerisation issues. Consult
with the cargo supplier for guidance. Unsuccessful cleans are usually the result of using higher than
recommended temperatures which may “bake on” residues rather than remove them.

Typical Application & Dosage Rates using Fresh Water (Sea Water use 1.5x)
• Recirculation: 1-2%
• Direct Injection: 2-3%
• Handspray: 50% (drying/semi-drying oils, veg oils & 100% (fish oils, fatty acids/alcohols)
• Refrigerated Cargo: Remove animal or vegetable fat then spray a 5 to 10% solution in fresh
water and rinse off using hot water high pressure hose.

Post-Cleaning
If “white lime” deposits are noticed after cleaning, due to using sea water or left-over cargo residues,
inject a 0.5-1% solution of eazy RSR for 30 minutes before rinsing the tanks with plenty of clean fresh
water.

IMPORTANT!
Product is suitable for use on epoxy coatings and most common metals with exception to aluminium,
galvanised metal, tin, zinc and zinc silicate coating. In this case use our other IMO approved products
such as eazy NBD or eazy Aquaclean HD.

EAZY TANKWASH
Product Code: 2461 Product Group: Tank Cleaning
Packaging: 25L & 200L Issue/Date: 1.70 - 03/12/2010

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy Tankwash is a tank cleaner and degreaser for removing petroleum residues and mineral oils.

APPLICATION & USE

Suitable for use by direct injection, machine cleaning, spraying or the eazy Tankwash Method.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The following methods of cleaning are for guidance purposes only. They do not replace the
judgment of the crew or attending supervisor.

Pre-Wash
Prior to cleaning it is recommended to prewash the tanks with hot fresh / seawater at 50-60°C. For
crude oil, drying and semi-drying oils a pre-wash using cold water.

Direct Injection Method for Cargo Tanks

Product should be injected at the recommended rate of 1-2 litres per 1000 litres of wash water into
the pressure side of the automatic tank cleaning system by means of an air operated drum pump.

The cleaning process should take 3 to 6 hours after which rinse well with clean fresh / seawater.

Re-circulation Method
An adequate volume of solution to maintain recirculation of product and seawater is prepared in the
cargo or slop tank and circulated by the automatic tank washing system pump and heater to the tank
to be cleaned. The recommended concentration is 2 litres of product per 1000 litres of wash water.
Best results will be achieved by heating the solution to 60°C. The solution is then returned to the
mixing tank through the stripping line and the tank then rinsed with clean fresh / seawater.

NB. Depending on the size and condition of the tank, one solution is adequate for cleaning up to 3
tanks using this method, and any additional tanks should be cleaned with a new solution.

Hand Spraying Method

This method, whilst economical, is dependent upon the tanks being gas free to enable ship’s staff to
enter safely.

An air operated drum pump and hand spray equipment should be used. After spraying [neat] product
allow at least 30 minutes soak time. The tanks should then be rinsed with clean fresh / seawater.

eazy Tankwash Method

This method, used traditionally whilst the vessel is at sea, can also be used to clean and gas free
double bottom tanks.

1. The tanks should be heated by means of the steam coils to normal operating temperature
and then stripped of fuel. It may be necessary to trim the vessel to ensure as much fuel as
possible is removed.
2. All manifold valves should be closed and secured.
3. The first dose of product should be dosed (see dosage graph below) and the tank filled to
25% of its capacity with seawater.
4. The solution should be heated to 60°C and this condition should be maintained for 24 hours.
5. After cleaning strip the tanks and then refill to 75% capacity and add the second dosage of
product, continue heating and maintain for a further 72 hours.
6. Strip the contents of the tanks and pressure rinse with clean fresh / sea water through the
sounding pipes.

Gas Freeing
7. In order to gas free the tanks add seawater through the sounding vent or sounding pipes and
press up the tanks.
8. Stop water supply and completely strip the tanks, trimming vessel to ensure that all the
water has been removed.

in upgrading vessels from “dirty” to “clean” cargoes. By attending a vessel during the discharge of its
oil, and then remaining with it through the subsequent cleaning operation, we ensure that it is in a
suitable condition to load the next cargo.

Our supervisors have been market leaders since 1981 in assisting clients to protect their financial
interests during clean up. Available at short notice to travel globally, a pool of personnel based in the
UK and USA include former Master Mariners with proven track records in tank cleaning.

By combining product and service our total package is not only competitive but offers excellent value
in providing a worry-free solution for the operator.

EAZY BIOTREAT
Product Code: 1431 Product Group: Hygiene & Sanitation
Packaging: 4x5L Issue/Date: 1.20 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
eazy BioTreat is an economical to use organic waste treatment specifically designed to maintain the
efficiency of marine sanitation systems. The biologically active liquid promotes the degradation of fats,
greases and other organic materials as well as the odours they produce.

When it is dosed directly to the sewage treatment plant (or via the nearest toilet) the biological
activity will be enhanced keeping the plant at peak operating efficiency.

APPLICATION & USE

Some of the benefits include:

• Gives a renewable source of highly effective enzymes

• Removes the need for hazardous chemicals
• Effective in hard and soft waters
• Can be used on a variety of applications
• Cost effective
• Significantly reduces effluent B.O.D. and C.O.D.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Tank Treatment
Dosage levels are determined by the number of people onboard the vessel and the condition of the
sewage plant. If the system requires to be reactivated, dose 1 litre of product directly to the tank or
via the nearest toilet.

For a vessel with up to 50 people onboard, a maintenance dosage of 100mls per week of product
should be used.

For a passenger vessel, repeat above for each tank in use.

Line Cleaning
Organic matter can be gradually removed from waste lines by dosing a solution of 100mls of product
mixed with warm water on a nightly basis until the line runs free. If it is possible to isolate a section
of line then fill the line with above solution and leave for at least 24 hours.

Tank Cleaning
Product can also be used to periodically clean holding tanks. In order to provide a low volume
circulation holding tanks must be fitted with and air manifold to gently agitate the water. The tank
should be filled to 75% capacity with fresh or salt water and the air supply turned on.

When ready, add 2 litres of product to 2 litres of warm water and dose directly into the tank or via the
nearest toilet. An additional solution of 1 litre of product mixed with 1 litre of warm water per 1000
litres of capacity should be added. The tank should be filled and left for 48 hours with the air
circulating.

CAUTION: Avoid the use of concentrated disinfectants, acid descalers and bleaches, which will affect
the bio-film and eliminate the naturally occurring enzymes.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE
Product Code: 1445 Product Group: Hygiene & Sanitation
Packaging: 25L Issue/Date: 1.10 - 29/11/2007

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Sodium hypochlorite is a liquid chlorine product designed to disinfect drinking water.

APPLICATION & USE

Shock chlorination of water systems and disinfection of drinking water.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The initial dose of chlorine injected into water is likely to be consumed in the oxidation of any iron,
manganese or hydrogen sulphide present in the water. Once the chlorine demand from these
processes has been satisfied, which typically takes 30 minutes, what remains is residual chlorine. e.g.
Chlorine Residual (0.5ppm) = Chlorine Dosing (2.0ppm) less Chlorine Demand (1.5ppm).

Dose product until a free available chlorine residual of at least 0.2ppm (and no more than 0.6ppm) is
attained throughout the distribution system. The exact amount required depends on the water
chemistry, temperature, contact time, and presence or absence of sediment.

When taking water in a port in a new country, and especially in tropical regions, the chlorine
requirement may be much higher in which case dosage will need to be increased in order to obtain
the desired Chlorine content at the tap.

Check water daily for the first 7 days on initial dosing, thereafter weekly with our Chlorine LR Test Kit
(Product Code 4070).

Dosing at 1 - 2ppm level will provide disinfection with the capability to eliminate bacteria and organic
matter in the water.

If charcoal filters are installed in the hydrophore outlet pipe (i.e. after the tank and before the
consumption taps), a higher level of chlorine can be injected into the tank as any chlorine present in
the output line will be removed by the charcoal filter prior to domestic use. The charcoal filter should
be fitted with a bypass, so that a certain controlled amount of chlorinated water can be allowed to
bypass the charcoal, in order to maintain a small amount of chlorine in the outlet supply water. This
protects the pipe work after the charcoal filter from developing colonies of bacteria.

Caution: High concentrations of Chlorine increase the corrosion potential of the water.

Product Code: 7200 Small Product Group: Engineering
Product Code: 7201 Medium
Product Code: 7202 Large Issue/Date: 1.30 - 24/08/2012

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Bunker collection, sampling and storage guidelines have been defined by Marpol Annex VI which came
into force 19 May 2005.

The IMO regulation and MEPC.96(47) states that a retained sample of all fuel oils, as supplied, is
drawn at the ships receiving manifold, sealed, signed on behalf of the supplier and the Master or
ship’s officer in charge of the bunkering operation and that the retained sample is kept under the
ship’s control until the subject fuel has been substantially consumed, but in any case for at least 12
months from the date of delivery.

The Fuel Sample / Hazardous Storage Cabinet, as supplied by Eazychem, is a robust welded
construction unit manufactured using high quality steel of 0.7mm – 1.5mm for extra rigidity and to
maintain its structural integrity under extreme conditions. This unique design comes with a welded
leak proof base sump, a tough epoxy polyester coated finish, reinforced doors with steel door
stiffeners and a chrome 3 point locking handle. It is ideal for the secure storage of chemicals, paints
and hazardous substances in addition to fuel samples.

Optional extras include additional shelves to those included, stand with adjustable feet and a sloping
top to prevent items inappropriately being placed on top of the cabinet.

Cabinets conform to health and safety executive guide HSG51 and DSEAR 2002.
