Problem How it Happened The Solution

Schedule Problems The Filming days didn’t go as We had to arrange replacement transport for
planned, the weather was terrible the replacement actors that had to turn up.
on almost every day that we had Then when we had the replacement actors
scheduled and so we had to then sorted, we didn’t actually need them so we
film around them, this led to actor used the original actors that we had planned
issues. The rain led to the to use. The locations were only changed
equipment being risked for water around on different days and so we didn’t
damage and the actors had to work need to replace the locations. This was good
around their own projects. for us as we were limited with transport.
Costume Issues The actors dropped out half way We had to contact everyone that we had
through filming and so we had to planned on being in the film and then call
source more costumes from them them and ask if they could be in it still. We
that would fit them, however once found alternative ways of transport for the
we had the original actors back on actors and other ways of transport to and
the film, we then had to give the from Weston. I found ways of getting the
costumes back which resulted in a actors there as it was easier to ask my brother
big confusion with who was actually for a lift. He told us he was able to so we all
going to be in the film. made our own way to Weston and back.
Group Problems We had problems within our group. I worked around it by just filming his scenes
Harley was wasting time on filming first and telling him to chill out whenever he
days by messing around and didn’t get on with his lines. It was frustrating
dragging out filming different at times but I managed to work around it by
scenes, he wanted his scenes done doing the other scenes first and asking the
first and so he spent all his time other actors to fill in on certain scenes. The
doing that. It was difficult to work filming days were almost wasted at times
around him and he caused a lot of because of him wasting time but I managed to
problems on the filming days. be able to work and get some good footage.
Filming Issues During filming we weren’t able to I worked around this issue by removing
use the audio because they weren’t sections of film and just adding other parts
synced up at all. It was difficult to that we had previously filmed late on in the
use the audio and find specific parts week. It was a struggle to then match those
because the audio recordings were scenes up in the edit as I had to try and hide
longer than the actual footage the change in scenery. It worked out well in
recordings. This led to use removing the end as you can’t really notice it but for me
large sections of footage just so the and my group it is very noticeable. I am glad
narrative would make sense. though that it wasn’t picked up on.
Editing Issues The editing went horrendously as Throughout the editing week we had to film,
Harley was so extremely stubborn no reshoots were needed and so we were able
that it had to be finished his way. He to focus on the edit for a few days. I was only
didn’t allow any group decisions to able to edit for the last 45 minutes before the
be made at all and so he attempted deadline and salvaged as much as I could of
to complete the edit in his own time the original film. It didn’t turn out amazingly
and wasn’t able to get it done as he but it was a finished film and so I am happy
spent way too much time on sound. with the end result, even if it meant sacrificing
my own screen-time for the sake of the film.
