real-time and robust bin management

AMCS Vehicle Data Hub
The vehicle data hub is a complete on-
vehicle hardware solution. Through an
in-house developed single hardware box,
it to collects a wide variety of vehicle data.
The single unit has integrated GPRS, GPS,
and Wi-Fi. As well as reading RFID data
feeds, it handles I/O signals and CAN-bus
data. The VDH can be offered as a service,
limiting capital expenditure.
On-board weighing & bin identification
In order to be able to control costs and
increase profitability within the waste,
recycling and resource industry, it is
essential to be able to identify and
determine the weight of waste and
recycling containers during collection.
The AMCS Weighing and Identification
System enables certified and uncertified
automated capture of weight and
identification data. The weighing system is
type approved to MID 204/22/EC and can
be certified to Class Y(a) & Y(b) . In addition
to this, identification can be achieved
through the use of either RFID (UHF/HF or
LF) or GPS technology.
The option of GPS identification is
a patented application from AMCS.
Through the use of a built-in modem,
all data can be transferred in real time
to the office. Certain containers may be
blocked from collection through the use
of the integrated stop listing feature, a
useful feature in the event of unpaid or
overweight containers.

On arrival at the weighbridge, the
system registers material, required
customer/ vehicle details and weight.
Once material is moved to the grading/
processing floor mobile applications
support re-grading including photo
capture. Inventory tonnage visibility is
provided to the sales/material broker
team and a specific set of brokerage/
sales user interfaces support the
material purchase/sales activity.
Material pricing and cost functionality is

Weighbridge
AMCS ERP fully integrates the
weighbridgelinks of the various
weighbridge suppliersinto the central
back-office system andsupports the
invoicing of ‘third party weighs’.The
data produced (quantity, trucks and
customer data) are integrally passed
on to AMCS ERP and matched with the
unfilled schedules after which they can
be dealt with. The weighbridge can be
managed directly from AMCS ERP, or
the weightadministration software can
be installed as a stand alone software
and can be installed per location and
is not only able to manage weighing in
and weighing out, but can also manage
all peripherals like traffic lights and
barriers
(Recycling) Processes
Waste flows can be regulated by the
processing procedures that take place
on the premises itself. This can be done
by defining incoming and outgoing
waste flows and a corresponding
process. Waste stock is automatically
deducted from the incoming waste
articles and added to the outgoing
waste articles, by pressing just one
button. Examples are the separation of
building and demolition waste or the
sorting of glass. For incoming glass,
for example, the corresponding waste
code, organisation, disposal site, line
of business, hall and cluster and the
percentage, 100%, is registered. After
sorting, the outgoing waste flow is
registered, for example 20% brown,
60% white and 20% green glass. The
outgoing percentage of waste can also
be more than the incoming percentage
of waste. This is the case with leftovers
that are processed into pigfeed. 100%
of leftovers will produce 110% of
pigfeed after ‘steaming’.
Waste Stock levels
Basic waste tracking is also one of the
key features of AMCS ERP. A disposal
site can be divided into separate
compartments, referred to as Halls and
Clusters in the system. The type and
quantities of waste being stored can be
registered for each compartment. This
allows you to indicate more accurately
where a certain waste load must be
For each waste flow, the composition
of the waste can be entered. For each
disposal site external prices for the
various types of waste can be set.
Customer Management and Portal
AMCS ERP provides a single on-screen
view of customer status, both financial
and operational, to allow customer
service teams to answer queries on
the spot. New or additional work can
be instantly added and is automatically
available to transport operations for
scheduling. AMCS Portal is a powerful
extension of the AMCS ERP where
end-customers can conveniently access
their accounts online, view billing
history, make service requests, select
billing options, sign up for auto-pay
and pay bills online. The portal can be
integrated seamlessly into an existing
website and branded to reflect your
company brand and colour theme.
Standard templates are available
for customisation. Access to portal
views and functionality is configurable
using security settings. This enables
operators to control what customers
have access to online, based on their
individual login and configuration. All
data is securely transmitted using SSL
so your customer’s data is safe.
