Singular : menyatakan bahwa benda itu hanya ada satu atau tunggal

Plural : menyatakan bahwa benda itu lebih dari satu atau jamak

Example :

1. Dengan menambahkan akhiran –s pada benda tunggal (actors, brothers, sisters, dogs, cats)
2. Dengan merubah akhiran -y yang diawali huruf kosonan (huruf mati) menjadi –I lalu tambahkan
–es (cities, enemies, libraries, babies, ladies, countries)
