CorrOcean 1” Low Pressure

Retractable ER Probe

Specifications:
• Mounting — 1" Full Port Valve Minimum
• Temp. Rating — +500° F/+260° C
• Pressure Rating — 1500 PSI

The CorrOcean 1” low pressure retractable ER probe system Model 200

is designed for low pressures and moderate temperatures of up to
1500psi and 230º C, using a nominal one inch pipeline/vessel outlet.
Where the access system requires relatively few monitoring points, this
system provides an economically alternative to CorrOcean higher
pressure system.

Like the higher rated system, the CorrOcean Model 200 permits safe,
easy insertion and retraction of various corrosion and erosion monitoring
devices as well as preventive maintenance type devices – all while under
line operating pressure. A manually operated retractor is required for
safe control of the probe. A complete line of equipment of corrosion and
erosion monitoring is available.

Low pressure Access Fitting Assembly consists a series of two nipples, a

1” ball valve, a stuffing box with packing gland, and a mechanical lock to
secure the probe while in use. A nipple and the ball valve are
permanently affixed to the pressure system by mean of the nipple
mating with an appropriate 1” Threadolet outlet. The stuffing box and
lock nut is comprised of packing set and shaft packing, which when
compressed by the locking nut, securely locks the probe/holder which
monitoring position.
Be sure to select and order an appropriate sized Threadolet according to
the pipe size. Flanged Threadolet are available on special order as well
as the 1” flanged ball valve and flanged stuffing box.

1” low pressure retractable process probes provide flexibility and

economic replacement via probe inserts. Model 200 employs sensing
elements made from wire, small diameter tubing or flat strip measuring
element.

Model 200W, wire loop probes may be used up to pressure rating of

1000psi and in organic or inorganic fluids of all types, in the pH range
0-9. Above pH 9 or for other extremely aggressive service, these probes
are recommended. In applications where stainless steel bodies would be
subject to failure due to stress cracking or severe pitting, or for probes
made of special materials, contact the factory for specific information
before ordering. Probes specified by a complete probe order number
include both a housing body for mounting and a replacement measuring
element insert. The insert may be ordered separately as needed.

Model 200T, tubular probes have a thin walled tubular sensing element,
can provide a large test surface, excellent dynamic temperature
response and protection of reference element.

Model 200F, flush strip probes have a flat strip measuring element
sealed and mounted at the end of a heavy walled stainless steel tube.
By adjusting the position of the probe or proper selection of the physical
dimensions of the coupling system, the measuring element can be
positioned flush with the inner surface of the pipe or vessel. Corrosion
or erosion can then be measured right at this surface, and the lines
maybe pigged without moving the probes.
