1) What does automation mean?

Automation can be defined for any control functions in operating equipment

such as machinery, processes in factories, boiler and heat treating ovens, switching
in telephone networks, steering and stabilisation of shipment or aircraft, and other
application or reduced human intervention. They are expected to work automatically
in order to reduce and improve the manual work in the industry.
Logistics automation is a broad concept, where it actually includes all the
functions at the technical level. The best thing that can happen in business is
logistics automation. This facilitates chain management activity supply. The
Transportation Management System (TMS) is included for the management of each
company's transport and freight services. Supports the working of the stock
monitoring, planning, administrative, accounting and management departments of
every possible unit.

2) Why is automation important in production process?

Firstly, automation can reduced costs. Although the initial investment in

industrial automation systems may be very large, uses of this technology will reduce
data analytics costs. For example, robot can work between three and five people
depending on the task couple with cut energy people to do work.
Secondly, workers are no longer required to perform dangerous tasks
because of automated cells. Some dangerous tasks can be transferred to automated
machines for making the workplace and production lines with dangerous working
conditions for humans safety.
Lastly, Production and quality of parts are more consistent and improved.
Compared to human workers, automated cells typically perform the manufacturing
process with less variability. As a result, product quality is better controlled and
consistent. These systems are useful in eliminating human error and thus improving
the quality and homogeneity of the products offered by using responsive control and
monitoring in various stages and industrial processes.

3) What is an example of automation?

Firstly, Self-sufficient construction machinery mean self-conductive machines

that can be used for transporting materials throughout the workplace and for
transporting heavy goods without posing risk. For example, robotics solutions and
sensors can be fitted with machines which enable chariots, diggers, trucks and other
similar equipment to operate in the cabin without a driver.
Next, Working and Employee such as Drones have become useful example of
building automation which enables the robotic worksite monitoring without active
supervision. Also, can be programmed to scan working area automatically for any
possible risks after which signals can be returned to a central controller.
Moreover, Robotics in Concrete Construction. Building automation has also
been able to mix concrete. Control systems and robotics are used for mixing
concrete, cement laying, polishing and water removal. This allows companies to
produce precast, ready mixed and time-consuming concrete products. Material
consumption reduces automation and eliminates the human error in which concrete
works would otherwise take place.
Lastly, Fill in the form automatically such as RoboForm, you can avoid the
boredom of filling out online forms and resetting forgotten passwords. These
fantastic automation tools make use of advanced encryption technologies to enable
you to fill out any online form safely and automatically. Even the process of entering
payment information is quick, secure, and simple. These tools can also assist you in
creating extra strong passwords and storing them in a password-protected vault that
is locally encrypted.

4) Where is automation used in the supply chain?
First, Miscellaneous Tasks. Although small robots can be extremely useful in
a warehouse, they will never be able to fully replace a human employee. When it
comes to managing their environments and picking up the right goods, warehouse
robots in current supply chain automation setups are very effective and reliable, but
they lack dexterity. Most of them need specially finished surfaces to function properly,
and if you need anything from upstairs, you'll have to catch a person. Employees are
often well equipped to make real-time decisions based on stimuli in their immediate
environment.
Next, Workforce Shortages and Automation. Warehouses will continue to look
for ways to remain competitive in the face of labour shortages as demand rises to
join the robots. To ease some of the burden caused by labour shortages, more and
more warehouses will turn to robotization. However, assume that this is just a
temporary solution and that businesses must change their recruitment and retention
strategies in order to survive.
Lastly, Global Commerce Effect. Things are currently a little uncertainty in the
political sphere, and these issues are affecting worldwide supply chains. With more
barriers and various trade wars going on, supply chains must be ready to respond.
With everything going back and forth, the rules could change at all times. Supply
chain disruption is almost certain in this form of climate because supply chain
managers are still moving to see to it that changes take place in the global world.

5) Name 3 companies which use automation.

First company using the automation industry is Schneider Electric. The

company that manufactures and distribute Schneider Electric is a French MNC,
which offers both software and hardware to manage and automate electricity.
Schneider Electric generates linked technologies and solutions to manage energy
and processes in a safe, reliable, efficient, and sustainable manner.
Second, Mitsubishi Electric is a Japanese multinational corporation that
manufactures electrical and electronic equipment. With an eye toward the next
generation of manufacturing, Mitsubishi Electric employs advanced engineering
techniques to provide dependable FA solutions. Many other automation companies,
from televisions to fighter jets, have used the company's products. This company also
provide controllers, drive products, visualization, Industrial robots, processing
machines and power monitoring products.
Third, Electric Yokogawa is a well-known manufacturer of industrial
automation and test and measurement equipment. Excellent technology is combined
with engineering services, project management, and maintenance by this Japanese
electrical and software company. Yokogawa offers proven fields of efficiency, safety,
quality and reliability.
