1. FlexLM Server INSTALLATION

1.1 Delete (if exist) any Delcam PAF-fles from your computer
(C:\dcam\config\pass\*.paf, C:\Program Files\Common Files\Delcam\*.paf)

1.2 Copy folder "Flex" to any folder on computer wich suppose to be a License
Sever. It can be your own computer or any network computer.
Suppose you copy folder "Flex" to C:\Program Files\Delcam

1.3 Create and save System Variable "DELCAM_LICENSE_FILE=1700@ServerComputerName"

1700 is a port to be used by Delcam FlexLM Server. If this port is already busy by
another process change it to any other in System Variable and "delcam.lic" too

"ServerComputerName" is a real name (or IP-adress) of computer where you are

installing a Delcam FlexLM Server

1.3 For Windows XP (see pictures

1.3.1 Create and configure Delcam FlexLM Servise

Run C:\Program Files\Delcam\Flex\lmtools.exe

1.3.1.1 Open "Config Servises" Tab

- Cofig Services > Service Name >input name DELCAM

- Path to the lmgrd.exe file > Browse > select "C:\Program

Files\Delcam\Flex\lmgrd.exe" (it mast be real path to Flex folder!)

- Path to the license file > Browse > select "C:\Program

Files\Delcam\Flex\delcam.lic" (it mast be real path Flex folder!)

- Path to the debug log file > Browse > select "C:\Program
Files\Delcam\Flex\delcam.log" (it mast be real path Flex folder!)

- Select options "Start Server at Power Up" and "Use Servise"

- Click "Save Servise"

1.3.1.2 Open "Start/Stop/Reread" Tab and click "Start Server"

1.3.1.3 Close LMTOOLS

1.3.1.4 Be sure that two process "lmgrd.exe" and "delcam.exe" are present in
Windows Task Manager

1.4 For Windows Vista

On Windows Vista computers you can not install FlexLM as Service so you need to
start FlexLM Server in command line with CMD

- Run "lmstart.bat"

Attention!
Paths in "lmstart.bat" suppose that folder "Flex" is installed in "C:\Program
Files\Delcam"
If you copyed folder "Flex" in other location you have to edit paths in
"lmstart.bat"

If you want that "lmstart.bat" will start automatically at Windows start-up just
add a link to "lmstart.bat" in Windows autorun folder

2. Delcam Application runing

Cause "delcam.lic" is a floating license file so with this Delcam FlexLM you can
run Delcam Application in two ways

1) As local installed ( Delcam Applications are installed on the same computers as

a Delcam FlexLM Server).

2) As network installed ( Delcam FlexLM Server is installed on one network computer

(SERVER) and Delcam Applications are installed on the other networks computers
(CLIENTS) . In this case you can run any of Delcam Application on several CLIENT's
computers simultaneously.

Attention! You do not need to install Delcam FlexLM Server on CLIENT's computers,
but you need to create on each of CLIEN's computer System Variable
"DELCAM_LICENSE_FILE=1700@ServerComputerName", where "ServerComputerName" is a real
network name (or IP adress) of computer with Delcam FlexLM Server running.. SERVER
computer mast be accessable via network (local or global) for any CLIENT's
computer
