Introduction of my background

My name is Vinny Aprilia from Indonesia. My religion is Buddhist. I come from a small village in Lingga
called Dabo Singkep. I'm an only child and my mom was single parent since I was child. I already
graduated from Public High School Singkep. Organizations that I joined in high school is PIK-R and
Musical Ensembles. I have performed several ensemble show at school events. I also active in
attending PIK-R organization seminar. After I graduated from high school I decide to gap-year and
focusing my Mandarin language so I can well-prepared for this scholarship.

Why I Choose Study in China

I’ve heard a proverb “Seek knowledge, even if you have to go to the China for it”. That is one of
proverbs that i remember until now. I have a high interest to study in China since i heard that proverb.
Since my high school study, i already planned to further my study in China. I meet China people
through internet and interact with them everyday. Then i became familiar with China. I have done a
lot research about China, especially about university. China university are increasing well-respected
and was the global ranking education. The number included in major global university ranking has
risen significantly over the past five years. I believe that studying in China is the best decision. And
also, China is the fast growing economy and second top leading country in world economy which is
fitting to my major and developing myself to reach my future goal. in Indonesia, Mandarin has become
an important language that is used by majority people. Many companies requires Mandarin as a
condition for applying jobs. The fact of mandarin become important language increased my interest to
further my study in China. I also look forward to the challenge of living and studying independently
abroad.

Reason why I taking Business Administration as my major

I have been in the world of e-commerce since 2017. I opened a small business in an online shopping
application using a drop shipping system. At that time, I started learning how to start a small business,
advertise my product, promote it appropriately, and manage finances well. Because I was in high
school then, I could not manage finances well. The limited knowledge of a beginner in building a
business makes me want to learn a lot and explore the world of business, particularly how to manage
good finances and marketing. I am highly interested in exploring these aspects. I also often attend
numerous seminars and workshops about business in the digital age where the great speakers explain
to the younger generation to explore the world of business which will be considered useful in the
future. It makes me highly motivated and interested in studying business and finance. Through this
scholarship program, I hope to obtain the opportunity to explore and study this study program. Seeing
that society has experienced many changes in behavior, particularly in shopping patterns, advances in
internet technology will greatly support business progress in the coming years. I’m highly confident to
choosing Business Administration major in China. I’m sure the study program that I choose will be
useful in the future and help me in my future goal and my prospective career
 My future plan

After I complete my undergraduate education in China, I plan to pursue my postgraduate education. I

want to more explore and focus on this study program so that I can apply optimal and bring more
useful knowledge in Indonesia. After that, I will return to Indonesia as an entrepreneur and open a
business network in this country. All the knowledge that I obtain in China will be applied in Indonesia. I
intend to open my own business and focus on startups or e-commerce following the needs of the
consumer market in Indonesia and produce business innovations in the future. In this regard, I can
reduce the unemployment rate which is currently extremely high in Indonesia. If my business runs
smoothly according to my strategy, I will improve the Indonesian economy by investing and funding
for community business startups that are the backbone of the Indonesian economy at present.
Therefore, I will fully contribute to the national economy with the knowledge I have gained in China,
which is a well-developed economy. I believe this choice is the best for bringing excellent changes for
Indonesia to move forward. I also hope that in the future I can spread the knowledge I have acquired
to the public, particularly the millennial generation so that later they will be familiar with the business
and the economic sectors. Therefore, they can contribute to the Indonesian economy to be more
advanced and successful in the future.
