1 Remove pinion housing (9) with drive pinion AR35.30-W-0469A
gear (15)
2 Remove temperature sensor (7) Only with maintenance system (WS).
3 Release collar nut (1) AR35.30-W-0432-05A
4 Remove connector flange (2) Retainer wrench *717589003100
Socket wrench bit with 300 mm dia. ring *001589220900
gear.
Socket wrench bit with 233 mm dia. ring *001589750900
gear.
Ratio wrench *000589696300
Puller *035589013300
5 Remove radial sealing ring (4)
6 Press drive pinion (15) from pinion housing (9) Do not damage the teeth on the drive
pinion.
7 Remove shim (11) and spacer tube (12) from Spacer tube (12) with 300 mm dia. ring
drive pinion gear (15) gear only.
8 Remove the outer tapered roller bearing (5)
from the pinion housing (9)
9 Remove inner tapered roller bearing (14) from Hand pump *652589003321
drive pinion (15)

14 Heat the pinion housing (9) to approx. 80 °C Drift with 233 mm dia. ring gear. *343589051500
and fit external outer ring (6) all the way into
the pinion housing (9)
Drift with 300 mm dia. ring gear. *363589001500
15 Determine thickness of shim (11) on drive AR35.30-W-0470-03A
pinion (15)

16 Heat inner tapered roller bearing (14) up to
approx. 80 °C and fit all the way into the inner
ring on the drive pinion (15)
17 Mount spacer tube (12) and determined shim Spacer tube (12) with 300 mm dia. ring
(11) onto drive pinion (15) gear only.
18 Mount pinion housing (9) on the drive pinion
(15)
19 Heat outer tapered roller bearing (5) up to
approx. 80 °C and fit all the way into the inner
ring on the drive pinion (15)
20 Checking friction torque of tapered roller AR35.30-W-0470-04A
