All Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostats require 24V common
power due to the onboard Wi-Fi antenna. Many
applications were originally installed with four wires
available for the thermostat. For these applications the
Honeywell THP9045A1023 WireSaver allows for four wire
installation. This simple device allows for the fan and
compressor to be controlled through a single wire through
the “K” terminal so that four wire installation is possible
with any Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat.
