Advantages of Banning Plastic Straws

Nowadays, the use of plastic straws can be found pretty much anywhere in food is
served. Unfortunately, plastic straws is not biodegradable for environmental. As plastic
doesn’t decompose quickly, it becomes waste. Therefore, plastic straws has become one of
the top items of plastic pollution found on beaches.

One of advantages of banning plastic straws is improve the marine life. This is because
plastic straws can harm the marine animals. As the evidence, there is a video that shown a
sea turtle getting a straw stucked at its nose. Marine animals may easily ingested small
pieces of plastic because they mistook for food and it can lead them to easily choke and die.
Elimination of plastic straws may be prevent more plastic ingestion.

Besides, it can reduce environmental impact. When plastics straws become litter, it can
pollute oceans, cities and neighborhoods.  The reduction in litter from straws may result in
cleaner beaches. Many reports indicated straws are most commonly encountered types of
plastic litter found on beaches. It is actually because of plastic doesn't biodegrade. By
banning plastic straws, it is actually help to preserve the environment.

Other than that, it can increase public awareness about pollution. With the onset of
banning plastic straws, more people will realize the importance of protect the environment.
People will be more responsible and fix their littering behavior. This small step to a cleaner
environment may also help reduce the amount of plastic in the ocean.

In a nutshell, plastic straw should be banned to decrease the pollution in few years
ahead. Instead of using plastic straw, it is better to use metal straw because it is reuseable.
We can save our money and also the environment.
