To my readers,

I think my readers are interested in politics but they may be confused by different

terms used in Chinese political environment, especially left and right. They are

confused about left and right definition and willing to find out the difference and

development from the original definitions in French Revolution. In this article, I

would like to introduce how these 2 terms, “left” and “right”, from French revolution,

gradually evolve to “left-leaning” and “right-leaning”, which most people believe

there’s no difference in between and are used in Chinese political environment.

I add more my perspective in the article corresponding to each historical fact and

form my own idea, which makes it look more like a research article. I intend to list

and explain several terms that extend the “left” and “right” in Chinese political

environment – “left-leaning”, “right-leaning”, “Left”. And for these 3 new terms I

discussed with those historical facts about how and why they are used in Wang

Ming’s case and Cultural Revolution.

I have added and delete some articles. And I realize that some parts of the chosen

article are not appropriate to my new topic. I focus more on the Cultural Revolution

part, which I’m more familiar, because after finishing this part I find out the words

limit is fulfilled. But I keep the part of the origin of these 2 terms in French

Revolution and reveal an evolvement of these 2 terms from French Revolution to

Cultural Revolution. Hence, my new topic would be “Original from French

Revolution, how did ‘left’ and ‘right’ used in Chinese political environment during 20

centuries”.
