In this section I would like to thank god for giving me the skill and knowledge to
complete this SBA.
Introduction

As a part of the School based assessment for Physical Education and sport
I am investigating football which is commonly known by most as soccer.

What is football ?
Football is a sport played between two teams of eleven players each on a square
pitch and usually consisting of referees and linesmen whose jobs are to keep
control of the game and make sure that the game is played fairly. Football also
referred to as soccer is known by most people as the most popular sport in the
world consisting of 3.5 billion fans and played in over 200 countries. However the
main objective of this game is to get the ball in the opposition net by abiding by the rules
of the game and by using fair play when taking on opponents. Therefore in the game
the goal keepers are the only players who are allowed to touch the ball with their
hands without being penalized or shown a card to. At the end of the game which
usually lasts for 90 minutes the team who scored the most goals is declared the
winner and is granted three points. However if the game is held to a draw then
both teams will receive a point and if one team has lost then that team will not be
allotted any points.
Aim of Project
The aim of the project is to convince the Caribbean Examination Council
that the students of the St. Leonard’s Boys Secondary School 2020-2021
Physical Education CSEC group 3 are capable of organizing and managing
a tournament, while using their knowledge and skills to carry out the
required needs and responsibilities to make the tournament a success.
Process of sport Selection
The process of sports selection for this project was designated. Each
student was asked to choose three sports which they like and place them in
the box.

The chart shows the percentage of student votes, with football winning the votes
by a huge margin with a percentage of 33.3, the runner up was track and field with
a percentage of 22.2 and following track and field for third was both cricket and
volleyball with a percentage of 18.5 each and lastly was volleyball with a
percentage of 7.4.
Tournament

SBA Tournament Layout

The tournament selected is five aside football competition between students of the
second year at St.Leonard's boys’ secondary school. The teams were placed i8nto a
single zone around robbing where each team would have a chance to play each
other. Each team will be allowed to register a maximum of 7 players.

Rules
1. Each team is consisting of five (5) players and five (5) subs.
2. Players must have their temperatures check at the beginning of every game.
3. Tournament will be played with the use of mini goal bars.
4. Each game would be played for 10 minutes with 2 five minute halves.
5. There will be no goalkeeper.
6. Points allocation at the end of each game.
a. Wins = 3 points
b. Draw = 1 point
c. loss = 0 points
7. All FIFA International rules of law (12) will be applied to all games.

MY ROLE AS AN EQUIPMENT MANAGER


For my Physical Education SBA assignment my permanent role was as an
equipment manager. Although my role as an equipment manager had many
setbacks and trials my determination and belief in myself got me through to the
end.
