13 Conclusion
Enterprise architecture delivers value by presenting business and Information
Technology specialists with signature-ready blueprints for regulating policies
and projects to accomplish target business outcomes. A major goal of EA is
greater coordination between IT and business concerns. In this regard, a good
Enterprise Architect will lead the process of planning and design the IT/IS
capabilities of the enterprise so as to meet desired organizational objectives.
While this may indicate that enterprise architecture is closely tied to IT, it
should be regarded in the broader context of business optimization due to the
fact that it addresses business architecture, performance management, and
process architecture, as well as more technical subjects.
