Experiment No:- CVE-426-P-09

Objective: Traffic volume study using videography.

Apparatus: Recorded video of a running traffic, tally sheet.

Procedure:

1. Video can be recorded by selecting specified location of road and a road section.
2. Section of 30m length of road according to the video studied.
3. Experiment is performed one by one each type of vehicle that is car, bus, truck, scooter or
two wheelers, three wheelers.
4. Data is collected by two persons.
5. Video was played and initial or starting time was recorded by each person.
6. No. of vehicles of each type counted that is for car, bus, two wheeler, three wheeler and
recorded on a tally sheet as tally marks passing 30m stretch.
7. Data recorded in a tally sheet comprising of time duration, type of vehicle, tally and total
no. of vehicle of different category.
