Dear Ms. Mendis,

I write to apply for the Fund Internship Program (FIP) as listed on your official website. I
completed my bachelors’ degree in Management at The University of Nigeria Nsukka and
graduated with Second class Honors in 2015 and I am currently enrolled in a masters' program
in Management in the same university. In addition, I have a certificate in data analysis software
in SPSS and Project Management Professional. I previously worked as an audit intern at The
Office of the Auditor General Ebonyi state Nigeria and as an administrative assistant in a private
sector service organization in Enugu, Nigeria.

The Fund Internship Program resonates well with me since the duties match with the courses I
have taken as an undergraduate and postgraduate student. These include: Introduction to
Micro and Macroeconomics, Introduction to Finance, Elements of Business Economics,
Business Mathematics, Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Cost and
Management Accounting, Business Statistics, Advanced Financial Management, Labor
Economics, Business Law, Organizational Behavior, International Business Management,
Comparative Management, Government and Behavior. As a postgraduate student researcher, I
have written seminar papers on micro and macroeconomics, and one of my articles titled "The
Effect of Organizational Aesthetics on Employee Job Satisfaction" is currently under
consideration for publication by a London-based journal.

I have participated in different extracurricular activities, including: Scrabble, spelling bee, and
consulting role play. This has enhanced my skills as a team player, cognitive learner and a leader
in various capabilities both at work and school. I am positive that my diverse skill set in
research, monitoring and coordination, data analysis, and audit and administration make me
the best candidate for this position.
This internship would provide me with the opportunity to be an asset to your program, and the
lessons learned from my networking with great minds at the IMF will help me advance the goals
of the IMF in Nigeria upon my return home. Looking forward to be part of your team and
sincerely hope you will consider my application

Thank you for your consideration.
