Inhouse HSE Training
Overview
Health and safety awareness training is mandatory for staff at all levels of an organization. This is the ideal course to satisfy that requirement – a
stimulating ‘entry-level’ programme explaining how health and safety should be managed in any working environment.
The course outlines the basics of health and safety law and how organizations and individuals can become liable for health and safety offences. Roles and
responsibilities for health and safety are discussed by reference to the key legislation and the expert trainer will explore with the delegates how these
responsibilities are managed in practice in different types of organization. The principles of risk assessment will be considered and their practical
implementation discussed in relation to the management of the various hazards that are likely to be present in a typical workplace.
Training objectives
This course will give staff An understanding of health and safety law, liability and enforcement
An explanation of the principles of health and safety management in the workplace and an understanding of who should be responsible for different
aspects of health and safety
A practical explanation of risk assessment and what constitutes a suitable and sufficient assessment
A broad knowledge of the typical hazards in a workplace and how these should be managed
Audience
This course provides the necessary health and safety awareness training for anyone in a working environment. It also provides the essential foundation for
those involved in middle or senior management.
Format
An inter-active one-day course, with 25% of the day devoted to practical exercises. In this format, we recommend that the number of participants be limited
to 16 in order to maximize the opportunity for interaction and facilitated discussion and to allow participants to explore practical examples relevant to their
own situations.
Special features
The course can easily be tailored to specific working environments, eg, offices, warehouses, process industries
Technical Drilling Training
Overview
The end goal of drilling operations is simple: to create a safe, stable hole in the ground. The mechanics of accomplishing this goal, which will be covered in
this section, are more complex.
Drilling operations should result in:
• A wellbore that intersects the producing formation.
• A wellbore that is isolated from groundwater and non-producing formations.
• A wellbore that is capable of containing formation pressures.
• A drill site that is safe and environmentally compliant.
• A profit for the company drilling the well.
Our courses introduces the technologies that make drilling and completions possible, typical operational methods for drilling and completing wells, and
methods for solving problems that come up during the drilling process.
Training objectives
To be able to:
• Understand basic well design principles and drilling technology
• Increase knowledge in casing design
• Understanding the cementing operation of a well
• Describe and understand the use of drilling equipment used in rotary drilling
• Increase knowledge in the use of well control equipment
• Obtain sufficient knowledge about the course content to pass a written test with minimum 70% score
Audience
• A drilling engineer, well site supervisor, tool pusher, rig manager or field support personnel
• A geoscientist or reservoir engineer looking to get better value from your interactions with the drilling team
• Involved in improving drilling performance and cutting drilling costs
Format
An inter-active one-day course, with 25% of the day devoted to practical exercises. In this format, we recommend that the number of participants be limited
to 8 in order to maximize the opportunity for interaction and facilitated discussion and to allow participants to explore practical examples relevant to their
own situations.
Special features
The course can easily be tailored to specific working environments of Oil & Gas industries
IWCF
The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) is the only independent body focused on oil
and gas well control training, accreditation and certification.
The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) is a not for profit membership organization.
Its key aim is to develop and administer well control training, assessment and certification
programmes for the exploration and production sector of the oil and gas industry.
They work closely with national regulatory bodies and key industry leaders, such as the
International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP). Following on from IOGPs
recommendations in Report 476, new syllabi have been introduced for our Drilling Well
Control and Well Intervention Pressure Control programmes. These programmes are split
across five levels to provide employees with the necessary skill set for their role in the oil
and gas industry. By providing certified training through accredited centres IWCF want to
prevent well control incidents from occurring.
IWCF programmes are delivered by a global network of accredited centres. All assessments
are organised by IWCF and take place in closed book examinations. These are invigilated by
independent invigilators to ensure correct practice is followed.

IADC
The International association of Drilling Contractors Well Control Accreditation Program ( WellSharpTM ) was originally designed in 1995 to assist industry
professionals in developing and delivering well control training that conforms to industry-recognized standards. The requirements, guidelines and
recommendations were made to help steer the user toward the proper professional approaches that should be used to establish a training program in
wellcontrol.
The Well Sharp program, which evolved from Well CAP, was revamped and revitalized at the request of industry. Working in collaboration with the WellCAP
Advisory Panel, the IADC Well Control committee, and other industry workgroups, the WellSharp program represents and industry-led effort to redefine well
control training. Using quality benchmarks and criteria developed together with operators, drilling contractors, professional trainers, and well control
specialists, WellSharp helps to ensure that well control training schools adhere to a core curriculum developed by industry. International Association of
