INTRODUCTION
The study area is located at the North-West part of Khulna City. The study area is in Ward no. 17
and 18 it is near to the periphery of the city. The importance of the Ward No 17 and 18 is very
high in the context of residential area and its close proximity to the City central heart. The
distance of the study area from CBD IS 1 to 1.5 km and well connected with the CBD through a
planned road network.
The overall Sonadanga area (1st phase and 2nd phase) has a very high concentration of
residential plots with respect to other land uses (Architecture Department, Khulna University,
2018). Because of its close proximity to the city center, many upper and middle-income group
people are concentrating in this area.
When we go to survey, we can see road 1-12 and the Majid saroni road. My survey area is Road
No-8 and Road No-10.

MY STUDY AREA
This is my study area. Here we can see the shonadanga phase 1. On that area, I survey on Road
no 8 and the road no 10.

Road Details
Here is the Road Details of Sonadanga Phase 1 Road no 8 and the Road no 10.
Both of the Roads are secondary. Here are the Road details of road 8 and road 10
into the table.
Type of Drain
This is the Drainage details of Road 8 and road 10. both of the Drains are open. For this reason,
the people face many kinds of problem. As like as the mosquito problem and the Bad smell
problem. When the rainy days come, the drain is full of water and the dust or foul thing are come
into road.

PROPOSED FEATURES
Playground:
There is no Play Ground in Road 7 to 12. There is a vacant plot in Road 10. So, we
proposed a playground in Road 10. We can Add the playground here because of all the
people of road 8 to 12 come here. Most of the child will come here and play different
type of game.
Improvement of Footpath: There is no footpath in the road 8 and road 10. But it is
so much important to have a footpath beside the road. It is so much important
because people can easily move on another to other.
Improve the open drainage to close ones: The condition of the drain in
road 8 and road 10 is so much poor. Both of them are open and a lot of dust in to them.
When we talk with the people, their main problem is mosquito problem. And the bad
smell. It’s so much harmful for the invironment.so we proposed a better closed drain.
Street lamp: There is no street lamp post in the road 8 and road 10. It’s so much
important because of security. Safety for the drivers and riders. It also increases the better
quality of life.
