JUNE/JULY NEWSLETTER 2021

Reverend Steve Smith, retired from St. Luke’s Anglican Church is excited
about the opportunity to serve as our interim pastor.  Rev. Steve is very
keen to support us as our interim minister, and the council members are
delighted with his personality and enthusiasm - we have a good fit.  Rev.
Steve wants to get back to in-person worship as soon as we can.  Until then,
he will be continuing with our on-line worship.  Rev. Steve will officially
become our Interim Minister on June 1, and his first service will be on
Sunday June 6.
Congregational Restorative Engagement Discussion

Questionnaire
The next activity in our journey is to get the thoughts and aspirations of our
future from everyone in our congregation through discussion and input from
our members.  This input will help us develop our congregation’s resume, or
Congregational Mission Profile, and identify the characteristics of the pastor
we feel could best support our idea of our mission. This is how we will do it.
We are inviting every member to answer the questions in the “Restorative
Engagement Discussion Questionnaire” below by:  1) attending the two
virtual Zoom meetings or 2) responding to the questions and sending them
to the church, or 3) having a phone call with a Call Committee member.
Virtual Zoom Meetings
The 10 questions are divided into two meetings – Meeting 1 and Meeting 2.
Each meeting will be a 1 hour virtual Zoom meeting.  Each meeting will
follow the restorative engagement process, like we have done in the past
when we met in person after service.
Meeting 1 – Questions 1 – 6, Zoom Meeting on Wednesday June 9 at 7:00 –
8:00 pm
Please let us know by June 6 if you will attend this meeting.  Knowing in
advance how many will be attending will help us plan the meeting.
The meeting details will be emailed to you prior to the call.
Meeting 2 – Questions 7 – 10, Zoom Meeting on Wednesday June 16 at 7:00
– 8:00 pm
Please let us know by June 13 if you will attend this meeting.  Knowing in
advance how many will be attending will help us plan the meeting.
The meeting details will be emailed to you prior to the call.
Written Response
If you cannot attend a Zoom meeting, you have the option of answering the
questions in the Restorative Engagement Discussion Questionnaire below,
and returning your responses (in confidence) to Al Butson.
Telephone Discussion
If you can’t attend a Zoom meeting, and would prefer to talk about the
questions, please let Al Butson know, and a Call Committee member will call
you to complete the questionnaire.
