Importance of Fish Breeding

 Prevents extinction - As long as plants and animals continue to breed, they species
will survive. Extinction is a big problem in the environment because it decreases
biodiversity. So, if they breed, they save the environment from a huge problem. Take
pandas for example. They were unable to breed naturally that their numbers
dwindled. Human intervention had to be done just to save their species from going
extinct.
 Allows the best quality of commodities to be produced - In the perspective of
producers and consumers, the quality of commodities is very important. By choosing
the plants and animals to breed, they can choose what traits they think would be
more beneficial: better taste, bigger quantities, better texture, longer shelf life, etc.
 Elimination of diseases of species - They can also choose not to breed those plants
and animals that are suffering from diseases. If a specific plant withers quickly, or are
more susceptible to pests, producers might want to get rid of them because they are
not useful, and might even affect other plants and animals.
 Passing on better genes to the next generation - When plants and animals breed, the
genes that are passed down to their offsprings are usually those that are beneficial.
For example, in human reproduction, a variation in the genetic material of both
parents is necessary to ensure that the baby develops stronger immune system.
