a. u⃗ ⊕⃗v =⃗u ⃗v
Because u⃗ and ⃗v have real numbers as entries then u⃗ ⃗v will also have real numbers as entries. Therefore, the vector
space is closed under ⊕.
b. c ⊙ ⃗u=c + u⃗
Because u⃗ has real numbers as entries it means that c + u⃗ will also have real numbers as entries with c ∈ R . Meaning the
vector is closed under ⊙.
2. Since u⃗ ∧⃗v belongs to V, the elements of u⃗ ∧⃗v are all real numbers. So, u⃗ ⊕⃗v =⃗u ⃗v and ⃗v ⊕ u⃗ =⃗v ⃗u and since u⃗ ∧⃗v
have real numbers as entries then their product would also be real number u⃗ ⃗v =⃗v ⃗u. Thus, we proved property a.1.
u⃗ ⊕ ( ⃗v ⊕⃗
w )=⃗u ⊕ ( ⃗v ⃗
w ) =⃗u ( ⃗v ⃗
w ) =(⃗u ⃗v )⃗ w =(⃗u ⊕ ⃗v )⊕ ⃗
w =( u⃗ ⃗v )⊕ ⃗ w ∈V
Therefore, u⃗ ( ⃗v ⃗
w )=(⃗u ⃗v ) ⃗
w.
4. We have u⃗ part of V. We are going to prove that there exists a 0⃗ ∈V such that u⃗ + 0⃗ =0⃗ +¿ u⃗
