INSTRUCTION BOOKLET
I. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

The Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test – 2021(TS PGLCET – 2021) & its
ADMISSIONS will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the University
Concerned, BCI, TSCHE and relevant G.O.s of T.S that are in force and also amendments that may
come into force from time to time.

1. The list of recognized/approved Law Colleges along with the sanctioned strength and the courses that
are permitted by the Bar Council of India/University concerned/TSCHE and the seats for which the
Government is competent to make admissions for the academic year 2021-2022 will be informed after
publication of the results.

2. The admission process will be notified separately by the TSCHE, Hyderabad.

3. Specific instructions to submit the online application form are given on the website
https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in/ & https://pglcet.tsche.ac.in/. Please go through the instructions carefully
before filling the online application form.

II. INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING ENTRANCE TEST

1. Mere appearance in TS PGLCET will not give any right of admission. The candidate
should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules governing admission as
are applicable.

2. Nationality and Domicile: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy
Local/Unreserved status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational
Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made there to
from time to time.

3. The CONVENER, TS PGLCET-2021 reserves the right to reject the application of any
candidate at any stage, if:
a) the application is incomplete,
or
b) the candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility conditions, or other rules of admissions
or
c) the entries in the application are not filled as required.
No correspondence will be entertained with regard to rejection of application on any one
or more of the above grounds.

2. While uploading the Photo in application form, the passport size photograph should be
scanned, Selfies and other mode of photos are not accepted.

3. Any change whatsoever including that of Caste/Community/State/Category will not be
permitted to be made in the application after its receipt by the Convener.

4. Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set in English only.

5. The Candidates are advised to download the Hall tickets from the website
https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in/ & https://pglcet.tsche.ac.in one week before the test.

6. Qualifying marks in TS PGLCET-2021: The qualifying percentage of marks in the


Entrance Test is 25%. (i.e 30 marks out of 120 marks). There will be no qualifying marks for
S.C & S.T candidates for ranking.
a) Evaluation: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in evaluation, checking, scrutiny,
tabulation and ranking. Hence, request for re-totalling or revaluation or personal
identification of scripts will not be entertained.
b) Ranking: The Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained in the Entrance
Test. If there is a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-A of Entrance Test (in
Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law) will be considered for awarding the rank. If the
tie still persists they may be bracketed together for the purpose of ranking and seniority
in age may be considered at the time of admission.
c) Rank obtained in TS PGLCET-2021 is valid for admission into LL.M. courses for the
academic year 2021-2022 only.

7. Rank Card will not be sent by post. The candidates are advised to Download the Rank Card
from the website https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in/ & https://pglcet.tsche.ac.in/. In case of any
difficulty in downloading Rank Card the candidates are advised to contact the Convener’s
office.

8. The conduct of TS PGLCET -2021 is subject to orders and instructions issued by the
Government of Telangana., TSCHE and University concerned from time to time.

9. All disputes arising out of any matter concerning TS PGLCET-2021 shall be subject to the
jurisdiction of the TS High Court only. In such disputes, only Convener, TS PGLCET-2021
& Secretary, TSCHE Hyderabad can be impleaded as respondents.

10. Mode of Entrance Test: A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M. It
is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each.
Part-A consists of 40 questions (Jurisprudence 20M, Constitutional Law 20M; Total 40
questions of 1 mark each); and
Part -B consists of 80 questions (Public International Law 16M, Mercantile Law 16M,
Labour Law 16M, Crimes and Torts 16M, and IPR & Other Laws).
Syllabus and model paper is given in Mock Test.

11. Hall Ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the
disqualification from appearing at the test and liable for prosecution.

12. The candidate will not be allowed into the examination hall after the commencement of the
Test.

13. Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places till the completion of the
Examination. In no case they will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the
examination.

14. The online question paper shall consist of 120 multiple choice type questions in two

different parts with four responses given to each question out of which only one response is
correct for the given question.

15. There is no negative mark for incorrect answers.

16. Admissions: The Admission into LL.M. Course (Regular and Self Financing) offered by
different Universities (including the concerned affiliated colleges) will be made basing on
the TS PGLCET-2021 Rank and also as per Rules and Regulations of TS PGLCET.

Imp: The Convener, TS LAWCET & PGLCET – 2021 shall be responsible for conducting the Common
Entrance Tests (TS LAWCET & PGLCET – 2021) under the aegis of TSCHE. He shall not be responsible for
making admissions, which task may be entrusted by the TSCHE to any other Professor/Officer.
