General Instructions:
• Bring your music (original scores) to the evaluation.
• Number the 1st measure of each line.
• Tab or paperclip pages.
• Accompanists must also have original scores.
• Photocopies are Not Allowed. Students taking photocopy into the evaluation room will not be heard.
• Students may not take Electronic Devices into evaluation and theory rooms unless your branch requests you bring an
audio device such as mp3 or CD player to be accessed for Ear Training portion only.
• Parents must wait in designated areas away from evaluation and theory rooms.

Evaluation Instructions:
• Arrive 15 minutes early. Don’t be late, or you pay another fee and come a different time, and only if it is
available.
• The evaluator is not obligated to hear the student if he/she is more than 5 minutes late
• No photocopies allowed, except to facilitate page turns. Clearly show proof if the music is legally down loaded from
the internet (the url on the first page or receipt of payment) or you could be disqualified
• Bring all music being performed
• Do not perform repeats
• Number the first measure of each line
• Parents are not allowed in the performance site
• Some locations are hard to find, make sure you discuss with your teacher, who may provide a map for you.

Chabot College

Theory Testing Instructions:

Location: Chabot College, 25555 Hesperian Blvd., Building 800, Hayward, CA 94545
Date: March 10 Saturday and March 11 Sunday
To be close enough, Park in Lot G. No appointment necessary. Students may arrive between 9am and 3pm either day.
NO students will be accepted after 3:00 pm.
ONLY THEORY TEST is at CHABOT COMMUNITY COLLEGE. NO PERFORMING TEST.
A map of the campus can be provided by your teacher, so that you know where the exams are located.
Parents are not allowed in the theory testing rooms. Students in level 9 and advanced should allow at least 2 hours to
complete the test. All tests must be completed and all students picked up by 5pm. For safety reasons, parents are
asked to escort children to and from the building.
Bring only pencils and erasers AND EAR BUDS FOR EAR TRAINING. CELL PHONES WILL BE CHECKED AT THE
DOOR. NO BACKPACKS, PENCIL BOXES, WATCHES THAT DO MORE THAN TELL TIME, PURSES.
