CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

The native code approach can produce apps which perform faster for 3D (three-dimensional) or

image processing tasks, but few software development firms have the resources to provide

separate coding for multiple devices.(Charland & Leroux, 2011). Mobile technology is providing

a new frontier for the application of educational technology within the academia (Hamat, Embi,

& Hassan, 2012) However, as with any relatively new technology, much has to be understood

about the concept of mobile learning before it can be employed effectively.
