Summer 2021 J1 Guide:

Arrival Instructions:
- Please take a flight that will arrive at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. (Once you arrive
at Logan Airport, please contact Maura via email, skype, call or text so I know that you have
arrived.) You can take the C&J Bus line from any terminal in the airport up to Seabrook, NH.
Once you arrive at the C&J Bus station in Seabrook, please take an uber, lyft or taxi to your
housing location. (If you would like to use uber or lyft, you will need to download the app on a
smartphone, if you would like to use a taxi you will just need to call)
o The C&J Bus Station should have a ticket counter where you can inquire for local taxi
phone numbers. If you need assistance calling a taxi, I am sure the staff at the bus station
would be willing to help you.
Housing:
- Please take your taxi to the following address:

You will need to arrive between 10AM and 7PM to check in. If you arrive after those hours, you will
need to find a hotel or motel for housing for the night.

Money:
- Please bring enough money to pay for your housing (first and last week’s rent as well as a
security deposit- $300 total) in addition to money for food/groceries and taxis. I would advise you
to bring some cash but also debit/credit cards. You should also check with your bank before
leaving your home country to confirm whether your debit/credit cards will work in the United
States.

Quarantine:
- The state park is requiring all J1 students to quarantine for 10 days before you can start working.
Please use this time to get settled into your housing, purchase any groceries/food you may need
and to familiarize yourself with the layout of Hampton Beach.
o Before you can begin working at the state park, you will need to open up a bank account
and get a social security card. Most banks will require you have applied for a social
security card before they will allow you to open up a bank account.

 The closest social security administration is in Portsmouth, NH. You will
need to schedule an appointment in advance in order to apply for a social
security card.
