THE IMPACT OF EARLY MARRIAGE

There are several negative impacts caused by early marriage. This impact is felt not only by
married couples, but also babies born. In fact, early marriage still occurs in many countries
including Indonesia. This condition usually occurs due to cultural and socioeconomic factors.
Many parents consider their children to be the 'saviors' of family finances when they get
married. Even worse, there are those who consider unmarried children to be a family financial
burden. (general statement). For example, the impact that occurs is that aspects of education
and self-development become obstructed, triggers domestic violence, increases the risk of
neglect, and psychological health that leads to early death. (thesis)

The following is an explanation of the impact of early marriage.

Self-development become obstructed.
parents often think that getting married early can help save the family economy. However, if
you think about it, children who do not marry early have a very big opportunity to continue
their education and develop their interests and talents. different from children who get married
early, this will hamper education and consequently cut off education and do not have the

Triggers domestic violence

Domestic violence occurs because men feel that they are in the highest position in the
household, plus they still have difficulty controlling emotions when problems occur in the
household. If violence continues in a family, the mental and physical condition of the victim can

Early marriage also has a negative impact on the husband and wife relationship, it can even
cause a wife to be neglected. if early marriage occurs, of course the knowledge and experience
of both are still not much. does not rule out the possibility of a husband neglecting his

Psychological health that leads to early death
The occurrence of early marriage can affect mental health. ranging from unstable emotions,
unable to take care of themselves, having to act as parents at a young age, financial problems in
the family, and others. This pressure can cause stress, depression, and even lead to suicide. (the
