CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED

Problems or challenges may be a barrier to someone else's life, yet the trainee look ok it as a
inspiration to motivate her in her Work Immersion, she believes that by overcoming those
challenges that she faced, she can be stronger than before like it can be her strength too.

The trainee had encountered some problems particularly on how to get along to the other
employees, and to the Supervisor of Bicolano Service Center, she actually needs to know them
better. Because fellowship is not as easy as what others think. However, the trainee makes a
way to become more familiar to the attitude that her co-employees have. But there are times
that she can't go along to the other member of workplace, owing to the fact that they are
getting too serious. Furthermore, she is ashamed to talk to other people, especially to the
customers. But it helps her to build more self confident.

Next is being stuck up during traffic hours, sometimes "being late is okay", but in her Work
Immerion site, it is not okay. Actually, she just did not try, yet she did everything to avoid stuck
in traffic. She totally finds a way to avoid it.

Moreover, she experienced the workplace in her Work Immersion was so messy and its too
crowded, it doesn't look like a workplace, everytime that the supervisor needs something, like
tools or anything, it can't be seen immediately. But it helps her to be more responsible, since
she did not fail her boss in everything, she can literally clean the messy workplace, so it can look
neat and clean.
TASK PERFORMED

On her first day on her Work Immersion at Bicolano Service Center, she was oriented to work
with her classmate as they perform some tasks such as memorizing those tools needed when
repairing mobile phones and laptops.

Aside from that, she was also advised that she will be assigned to the Technical Department as
Junior Technician and to call the attention of customers. For her, it was an awesome experience
at the same time she feels nervous to talk to the technicians and people whose job is to assissts
the customers. The trainee's skills did not just improved but it enhanced her interpersonal skills,
as well.

When she was at the workplace, the other technician tell her about their services and the parts
of a laptop and how it functions, she do help the technician to those little things such as
unscrewing some parts of mobile phone and laptop. Moreover, she was also tasked to assisst
the customer's needs, like download the movie and music that they want.

What's good about the department is that they treat everyone like a family. Actually, the
trainee and her classmate always invited by their co-employee to eat with them during break
and lunch time.
OBSERVATIONS

For almost a month of spending my Work Immersion with the company, I have observed
several things. First, the management upholds a common Filipino trait known as "close family
ties". It is evident due to the fact that some of the employees are related to each other. It is
advantage for the company that they are closed to each other, so gossips will be avoided. It is
true that they treat everyone as a family member. There is free snacks and lunch everyday to all
the employees inside the department.

Work and personal life balance can be observed in company, as well. It is good to see that they
are all sympathetic so the ambiance help them to be focused on their tasked and its supported
to the fact that all the employees of the cmpany is still with them, since the company started
way back at year 2015.

Bicolano Service Center may be have small space and messy, but it has two professional
technicians that full of experienced. The two of them are so understanding, and open to the
trainees like Karen Dale Sindayen. They are willing to share their knowledge and skills to the
trainee.

In term of workplace itself, including those which the trainee's school don't have. So, whenever
the technicians need some particular tools, they don't need to go far because everything are
stored at the place of tools.
SUGGESTIONS

For further improvement of the company, the trainee highly recommend that Bicolano Service
Center must always clean their workplace. It would make the technician easily finds the tools
that they needed and feel more convenient working in a more spacious and clean workplace. It
will also create better storage for their tools and electronic test equipment.

The trainee also recommend that they replace some of their tools because it is not safe to use
anymore. This includes cutter blade, soldering iron, which is not safe and it's too old.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

With deepest gratitude and appreciation, the trainee is giving thanks to the people who helped
her in their different ways, with all they can and making her Work Immersion a possible one.

To our Almighty God, for his unconditional love, and for always giving her hope to not give up in
all, especially into all her dreams. Also for guiding her, giving blessing in all her decisions in
terms of her education. The one and only who always strengthens her for being optimism even
though there are some challenges that she can't easily overcome. She can't say anything. She
just wanted to send her thank you to Lord God.

To her parents, Mr. Ventayen and Mrs. Analyn Sindayen, for unending love, care and support,
for providing all her needs morally and financially, for the patience amd understanding during
her tiring days that she can't help them in household chores, for their never ending advices and
being there for her no matter what.

To the school where she still studying, Lumampong National High School-Indang Annex, Senior
High School where she continuously growing as an Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing
(EPAS) student and to Mrs. Abegail R. Gulla for giving the trainee the opportunity to be well
educated.

To all her teachers, who shared and continuously sharing their knowledge with students like the
trainee and keep molding them into better person. The trainee is extending her warmest
acknowledgement especially to Mr. Ralph T. Ariban with all that he can share with them,
everything that he knows and keep on inspiring her to pursue her dreams in life. The trainee
want to thank him for his patience during the times that she have failures and also a big thanks
for motivating her to study harder for her to have a better future.
To the owner of Bicolano Service Center, Mr. Rodel Kit R. Semana and to his employees, she
wanted to thank them for their warm welcome to her and her classmate. She is grateful for
having them as her part of Work Immersion. For all his advices and everything that he taught
her during her stay with them and for the memories they've shared; the happy moments and
rush hours, for everything that they did, to make her feel complete as a human being. The
trainee, thank them so much.

To her friends, for the happiness and for being there to support her and comforting her when
have difficult times during her training. She's thanking them for the friendship whom she can
share everything.

DEPARTMENT

Bicolano Service Center is a fully experienced in repairing such as mobile phones, computers
and PSPs, from simple up to the most complicated one. The department is capable of providing
electronic services with the help of their skilled technicians who are fully experienced to
provide the customer's needs. The department has a enough space where they can perform
their tasks and jobs.

The trainee and her classmate are assigned in Technical Department where most work is done.
The technicians showed them their best practices and those techniques in repairing mobile
phones, laptops, etc. Also they informed the trainees about the tools needed. Aside from that,
they also taught the trainees different testing procedures using a equipment called Power
Supply. Just to let others know, Power Supply is a hardware component that supllies power to
an electrical device. It receives power from an outlet and converts the current from AC
(alternating current) to DC (direct current), which is what the computer requires.

The Technical Department of the company is so dynamic and conducive for working since the
technicians are open for collaboration. They told the trainee about the processes that before
servicing for defective mobile phones, laptops, etc. one should be familiar with the types of
tools needed.
COOPERATING TECHNICIAN/STAFF

Bicolano Service Center has a pool of skilled tehnicians with long years of experience in the field
of electronics.

Mr. Rodel Kit R. Semana, owner of Bicolano Servuce Center, also a technician, was the one who
guides the trainee to facilitate and supervised the activities set by the company during the
entire conduct of her Work Immersion.

Furthermore, they just wearing mask in her workplace to prevent to prevent bad smell when
the technician melts a component.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

Successful industrial companies comply with certain standards in order to maintain their
reputation. Bicolano Service Center is kne of the reapir shop who follows and give importance
to standard operating procedures not just to protect the reputation of the company but most
importantly to protect their employees against any harm or hazard that may happen whenever
they are using hazardous equipments. The company ensures that the workplace is fit and safe
for its technician.
FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT

Bicolano Service Center provides a good place for the employees and interns for internship.
Each of them has their own area to do their tasks. Bicolano Service Center also have enough
equipment, tools and machinery to provide those needed materials, and other things that is
needed by the employees.

The equipment that is available in Bicolano Service Center are the soldering iron, which is used
in soldering, it supplies heat to melt solder so it can flow to the joint between two workpieces.
It composed of heated metal tip and an insulated handle. In order to deliberately heat or cool
down various material it needs a special power tool known as a hot air blower, heat gun or
alternatively hot air gun. The company also have desoldering pump, colloquially known as led
sucker, it is a manually operated device which is used to remove excess solder from a PCB
(printed circuit board). The other tool is tweezer, a small tool used by picking up small objects
or components. Lastly, are the multimeter, positjve T6 screw, cutter blade, jumper wire, power
supply, flux etc.
ORGANIZATIONAL CHART

Bicolano Service Center had only two (2) technicians, the owner itself named Mr. Rodel Kit R.
Semana, and other one is Mr. AJ Bytes Balmes. Mr. Rodel Kit R. Semana is also the Supervisor of
the company. There are two (2) employees under those technicians, Mr. Felix Jhon Reveche and
Mr. Jhon Walter Reveche.

SUMMARY
Bicolano Service Center has been providing fast and reliable electronic repairing services, all
types of repair such as; replacing touch screen and LCD, openline, passcode, icloud remove,
charging problem, shorted unit, etc. It has been established since the 20th day of January 2015.
Until today, Bicolano Service Center is providing reliable electronic repairing services to their
valued customers. Most of the comoany's valued customers are considered as their strength.
