GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. All documents related to BOQ, Technical Details, and Terms and conditions are attached in the
Tender Documents/ Work Item Documents Section of this tender.

2. Detail Technical Specifications of the material as per the Technical Data Sheet shall prevail over the
Material Code Description in Bill of Materials.

3. Benefits to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE):

a. Kindly refer to the tender documents for applicability of the benefits.
b. MSE benefits for EMD Exemption and/ or Purchase Preference shall be applicable only to
manufacturers and not to dealers/ traders.
c. Kindly refer to following clauses for detail T&C:
i. Instructions to Bidders, Clause 4.0
ii. Special Purchase Conditions, Clause 4.5
iii. Special Purchase Conditions, Clause 22.0 and 22.1

4. Evaluation Eligibility/ Purchase Preference to Local Suppliers (Make in India policy of

Government of India):
a. Kindly refer to the tender documents for applicability of the benefits.
b. Definition of “Local Content” and “Local Supplier” etc. shall be as per Annexure-I to Special
Purchase Conditions.
c. In order to be treated as Local Supplier, quoted item(s) by the bidder must meet the “Minimum
Local Content” criteria as specified in Annexure-I to Special Purchase Conditions.
d. Kindly refer to following clauses for detail T&C:
i. Instructions to Bidders, Clause 4.1
ii. Special Purchase Conditions, Clause 23.0 and its sub-clauses
iii. Annexure-I to Special Purchase Conditions

5. All other Terms and Conditions shall be as per the tender documents and its corrigendum(s), if any,
available on the portal.

6. NTPC Contact details are mentioned at Clause No. 33.0 of Special Purchase Conditions.
