The OREX PcCR family of products offers compact "plug & play" units that require no special personal
computer connection. Utilizing Orex acquisition SW package, this product family features high quality Conduct routine radiography test and insert the
filmless X-Ray imaging by laser scanning of phosphor CR plates to a personal computer workstation. cassette to the PcCR.
How does the PcCR operate ?

The cassette used in the CR contains a phosphor plate (or plates?) rather than film.
When exposed to X-Ray, electrons inside the phosphor crystals are excited and
trapped in a semi-stable higher-energy state.
The PcCR scans the plate by means of a laser beam.
The laser energy releases the energy trapped in the electrons, causing visible
light to be emitted.
The light is captured mapped and converted into a digital image.
