“Ang tanong…”

1. What type of claim is used in the text from Facebook? From the Journal?
The argument used by Facebook is a claim of importance, while the claim used in
the Journal is a claim of fact.

2. What is the claim presented by the Facebook netizen? Write one sentence claim.
CLAIM OF VALUE - The Japanese professor of physiology or medicine, Professor Dr.
Tasuku Honjo, has caused an uproar in the mainstream media that coronavirus is not
normal.
What is the claim presented by the researcher?
CLAIM OF FACT -Coronavirus Virus 19 (COVID-19) is a widely infectious and
pathogenic infectious disease caused by extreme acute coronavirus 2 respiratory
syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) that has arisen in Wuhan, China, and spread throughout the
world.
3. Which claim do you believe, the source from Facebook or the source from journal?
Why?
I trust in the origins of the Journal for me. Any of the reporting on Facebook is
vulnerable to fake news. Even though the Facebook post was published by the
Japanese researcher, it is focused entirely on his experience. Although the journal has a
more in-depth analysis that displays their conclusions and outcomes based on their

study and evaluation. You will also read that the article uses formal writing while
Facebook does not use formal writing. That's why I find the origins of the Journal more
credible and more understandable. I trust the author of the journal, as it came from a
credible source, and analysis such as this can be confirmed from other trustworthy
sources. The specifics can also be heard on the radio or in the news. Therefore, I
believe the media.

4. What should you do to prove the truthfulness of a claim?

To establish that the argument is valid, we must first grasp and analyze the case. Then
we investigate the situation and collect facts and clues that show that the argument is
truth and true. We must not depend on hypothesis since there is a lack of proof of
theory, but we must find evidence to prove the theory that we infer. We must not
judge the condition first, either. We will judge and dictate it after the investigation and
the proof that we have found. To show the truthfulness of the assertion, I can do more
analysis on the statement if it comes from a credible source and if it contains adequate
facts, evidence, and evidence to validate the statement. I will ought to get an author's
background check if he/she is capable and has enough experience of the area. I believe
that research and reading is the only way to show that a certain argument is valid.
