Profile Emma Watson

Emma Watson was born in Paris on April 15, 1990, the daughter of a married couple of English
lawyers. At the age of five, her parents separated. She went with her mother and younger brother to
Oxford. A year later, her artistic vein was awakened and she entered the Stagecoach Theatre Arts,
where she studied singing, dance and theater.

While at school, and having already participated in several plays, she was contacted to participate in the
casting of what would be the first film of a very famous saga. Thus, and after passing several auditions,
it was in 2001 when this girl, who was only 11 years old at the time, made her film debut. She appeared
in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' of the magical saga created by the successful writer J.K.
Rowling. Emma played Hermione Granger, Harry's best friend at Hogwarts Castle.

Her success in her role as Hermione was immediate. So much so that she was showered with awards,
became one of the most beloved characters of the franchise and was linked to the saga in all the films
of the saga. In the magical saga Emma grew at all levels, especially physically and acting-wise. As a
result, she ended up becoming one of the best young actresses of the moment. Needless to say, she
surpassed all her Hogwarts classmates, including the main protagonist himself, Daniel Radcliffe. Her
acting talent was evident in later films.

During his cinematic hiatus he devoted himself to further training as a person. He also made a big
campaign to spread and share by all means his love for reading. After a while she returned to the
movies participating in 'Little Women', a new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic. Finally, this
same 2021 she announced another temporary retirement from film in order to spend time and
consolidate her relationship with her boyfriend, Leo Robinton. Both Emma and Leo want to protect
their privacy as much as possible and stay away from the spotlight.

Outside the big screen she stands out as a model (Burberry and Lancôme). She has also worked with
Fair Trade and the organic fabric producer organization People Tree and collaborated with Alberta
Ferretti in the organic fabric collection Pure Threads. In terms of social commitment, she is an
ambassador for Camfed International (the organization for educating girls in rural Africa). As if that
were not enough, she is also a global goodwill ambassador for UN WOMEN for the promotion of
gender equality.
