Focus on the essentials
The new MODULITH® SLX-F2 combines modern, innovative and
efficient X-ray imaging with the proven STORZ MEDICAL electro-
magnetic shock wave source. The state-of-the-art 21 cm x 21 cm X-ray
flat-panel detector enables excellent imaging and rapid positioning of
the stone in the effective therapy focus, along with reliable in-situ
monitoring during the treatment.

Innovative X-ray technology for SWL

Modern dynamic X-ray flat-panel detectors offer a range of technical
benefits over conventional image intensifiers: among other advantag-
es, they do not react to external magnetic fields and exhibit no geo-
metrical image distortion. Additionally, the rectangular shape of the
flat-panel detector enables imaging of a significantly larger region of
interest than with round image intensifiers of comparable size.

The Lithotripter
A class of its own
In-line localization
Thanks to the cylindrical design of the STORZ MEDICAL therapy coil, the
stone can always be imaged in situ on the central therapy head axis –
even during shock wave treatment – regardless of whether a standard
AP fluoroscopic projection or ultrasound localization is performed.
In-line configuration ensures that obstacles in the shock wave path,
such as ribs or the iliac wing, are instantly visible and can be by-passed
during shock wave application.

StorM-Touch and StorM-Base
StorM-Touch
The StorM-Touch central control platform gives operators full control of
all system functions. All integrated system components are controlled
from a touch screen, either from a remote control panel behind lead-
glass windows or directly in the treatment room. The optional
automated LithoPos® stone positioning system is a dose-reducing tool
and also integrated into the StorM-Touch platform.

MODULITH® SLX-F2
Successful endourology
The MODULITH® SLX-F2 is designed to be a multifunctional solution for
further urological interventions e.g. placing a double-J stent or per-
forming URS on the table. Trendelenburg tilt and a removable insert
plate make the integrated table of the MODULITH® SLX-F2 perfectly
suitable for successful endourological procedures.
The optional videorouting enables the integration and display of fur-
ther imaging modules like ultrasound devices or endoscopic cameras.
