After reading/exploring the material given about Blended Teaching and Learning using Open
Educational Resources (OERs). I have understood that an OER is simply an educational resource
that already incorporates a license that facilitates reuse, and potentially adaptation. And there is
no need to request permission from the copyright holder for conditions specified. In simple
words an OER is similar to any other educational resources which is license. By using OER,
teachers can easily supplement their lectures and learning materials with content that is already
openly licensed and available for sharing. OER courses allow students to explore materials
before enrolling, making them better prepared before they arrive in the classroom.

We all know that because of this global crisis that we are experiencing right now which is the
Covid-19 one of the most affected is the educational set up from face-to-face to blended learning
and distance learning/e learning. Because of this there's a big adjustment not only with the
teachers but most especially to the students because this type learning is really new to students
and for me its difficult even if students now are exposed in technology.
But for the students to be comfortable and be able to learn just like in normal setting which is the
face-to-face. Teachers makes the lessons more engaging and interactive through online. They can
use a wide range of examples of OERs. Such as lectures, games, homework assignments,
quizzes, streaming videos, multimedia applications, podcasts, curriculum maps, course modules,
syllabi, other resources contained in digital media collections and others.

Open Educational Resources acknowledges the right of the learners to participate within the
knowledge society, to be able to enhance his/her knowledge, to be creative and innovative and to
share his/her knowledge to other students. I think OERs goal is to help everybody to makes
learning more easy and that everybody should be benefited not only the students but for
everybody. Some of advantages of OERs are it is helpful to future educators just like me,
freedom for access for myself and others, lower cost for students and opportunity for
collaboration. And some of the disadvantages of OERs accuracy needs to be check before use, it
many not meet accessibility for persons with disability, teachers sometimes not rewarded by the
system by their efforts and others. These advantages and disadvantages should be considered for
a better teaching and learning to happen.

Thus, open educational resources is a very important tool to meet the learning goals and
objectives of learning by making learning materials and knowledge available to everyone which
is open, license, and easy access for everyone.
