and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, co-hosts a special event for UN Women’s HeForShe campaign.
The HeForShe campaign is a solidarity movement for gender equality which calls upon men and boys to
help end the persisting inequalities faced by women and girls globally. Emma Watson leave a truly
inspiring and memorable speech. A special event was held to kick-start the HeForShe movement on
September 20, 2014 at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York City. The said event we’re
attended by the UN Secretary General, The President of the General Assembly, Executive Producer of
UN Women, and distinguish leaders and guest from different country. Ms. Watson taken over her
written speech by sharing her life experiences, her research, observation and inspiring messages in
gender inequality. Emma Watson share about her and her friends experiencing gender stereotyping. She
also leave an inspirational advices and messages to the world about feminism and the fair treat of all
genders whether child or adult. Ms. Watson stated that “In nervousness for this speech and in my
moments of doubts, I told myself firmly, If not me, Who? If not now, When?” Emma Stand for the
campaign to make changes because she knew that no Country in the world nor any women or men can
yet say that they already achieved gender equality. This issue may take a long time to reach the goal of
establishing the gender equality and fair treat in whole world but at least they are on one step forward
on making changes. This is the reason why Ms. Watson stand for this campaign because she believe in
changes. The speech lasted for only 15 minutes and yet she delivered an amazing and remarkable
speech. For instance, Watson uses an English and formal language on her made written speech to be
appropriate and to match the said occasion. Watson’s speech and inspiring messages on the launching
of UN Women HeForShe Campaign touches a lot of people hearts which made it unforgettable until
now.

record, feminism by definition is: 'The belief that men and women should have equal rights and
